Here's the deal: For those fans who would like to ask for a photo-- please send an email request to Tony at firstname.lastname@example.org (please note in the subject line of the email "For Tony") and provide your home mailing (not email) address. Tony will send you a real, actual, signed photo -- not stuff that people have to download. Please pass it on.By the way, if you miss anything, the show is streamed again immediately after the three hours. Please feel free to add thread narrative about what is aired on the show as a group effort is helpful to get more of the content posted and is much appreciated by those reading the thread later. If youd like on or off the Tony Snow Show ping list, please post a request. All requests happily honored.
"Woof" is used in broadcasting to say "stop," "that's enough" or to mark a specific point in time -- which is what is done in this case. "Tony's show starts in 3 minutes: WOOF!" Means in 3 minutes from-- NOW!
I do hope Tony is with us today. Somehow I think people will want to discuss something else, but this was what is scheduled

Planet Earth's Dilemma
Earth Day 2006 passed this Saturday without much fanfare despite the grisly reality of global warming. Polar bears will face an imminent death due to the melting icecaps. New Orleans will flood again and again even if Ray Nagin is re-elected. And planet Earth will succumb to its inevitable climate change demise and cease to exist Are you buying it?
I am going to be at the White House Correspondents dinner this Saturday. If I can catch up with Tony, I'll offer my personal congratulations from all of us at that time.
Assuming, of course, that the CNN reports are accurate.
If you want on, or off, the Tony Snow ping list, please FReepMail dinasour.
Good morning, dinasour. *sniff*
I think my life has just changed in a significant manner.
Here's a tissue, Dear. ;)
Hey Toney, if today is decision day, good luck!
Heck, good luck anyway.
You are going to the WH correspondents' dinner? That is very exciting. There is some nervousness among that group recently. It could be like being in a room full of cats and rocking chairs.
Golly, are you a big shot too? I had no idea..Is the dinner going to be on C-Spin?
Dab, dab. Thank you.
Good morning, Snowflakes!

Life Is Real
In the comic strip Peanuts, Lucy had just broken the news to Linus that children cannot live at home forever. Eventually they grow up and move away. Then she said that when he left she would get his room. But Linus quickly reminded her that at some time she too would have to leave home. When this realization hit Lucy, she was shocked, but she quickly came up with a solution. She turned the TV up loud, crawled into her beanbag chair with a bowl of ice cream, and refused to think about it.
Avoiding unpleasant circumstances is not as easy as Lucy thinks. Life's realities cannot be avoided. We may try to run and hide, but struggles and trials have a way of dogging our footsteps and eventually catching up with us.
Instead, we should face up to our problems. The psalmist David did this when beset by persistent foes and false friends. He didn't try to minimize his danger; he acknowledged the storm that was raging around him and looked to the Lord. He wrote, "In God I have put my trust" (Psalm 56:4).
Let's follow David's examplenot Lucy's. Facing up to life's difficulties may be a frightening experience. But when we trust God and draw close to Him, we'll experience real deliverance. Paul Van Gorder
When troubles call on you, call on God.
I'm still waiting for the REAL word on The Breaking Story. (Sorry, I don't trust OR watch CNN.)
Good morning :) This is wonderful/awful!
I'm thrilled for you Tony- you will be superb. Thank you for your service.
No big shot, there is supposed to be a FReep. If its still on, I intend to go.
I really feel that (again if it's true) we're sending Tony off to war. He's going to be shot at not literally but in every way from Sunday metaphorically. (Let's not forget Reagan's press secretary WAS shot)...
So Tony...Godspeed and good luck. Thank you so very much for your sacrifice...
Fantastic! Take good notes! I hope we'll get a full report.
saw that last night. Anderson Cooper was pooping his pants over it.
Good morning all and thanks for the thread dinosaur.
My computer was being worked on last night when the thread came up about Tony's acceptance of the WH position. I won't take the time to read the 800+ post but came here instead to offer my support and congrats to Tony.
Tony, don't forget your snowflake-freeper friends. We are at your disposal for research, feedback or encouragement. Frankly I put FReeper research up as some of the best on the internet.
We'll miss you here Tony. **sniff!**
Now, give 'em hell! :^P
