A spinning instructor at Washington, DC's Sports Club/LA mocked President Bush without realizing (believe it or not) that the first daughters were in his class!
ROLL CALL reports: The instructor, Glenn Makl, is said to be horrified to learn after class that the president's daughters were there to hear his making fun of President Bush and handing out of a video clip compilation of some of the president's more memorable gaffes and malapropisms.
Developing...
Send him to Guantanamo ;-)
"spinning" = riding stationary bike, IIRC
People need instructors to ride bikes that go nowhere?
It might be time to step back a couple of steps.
Spinning is so 1990's. Those classes get boring real fast.
Yep, while shouting out encouragement above the din of ear-numbing music.

I think this is one. She's not too shabby, either... |
lol.
"So, Ser, tell me, just how does it feel to go to school to find you are naked? Inquiring minds want to know..."
Democrat "traitor" Scum, just like all Democrats!!!
What the hell does an exercise class have to do with politics? These people are deranged - they have no ability to separate their professional lives from their slavering, craven vendettas.
So, the girls pay a small fortune to join that stinky sports club, and then get to see their father insulted. I'd ask for my money back. And spinning is a fitness method that involves something very like a stationary bicycle. Uses the thigh muscles, the biggest on the body, so is good, efficient aerobic exercise. The trainer gives directions on how fast to go, ect. Nothing to do with turning wool into thread, or flacking, for that matter.
The world would be a better place if people would stop saying things to others that they wouldn't say in front of the people they are talking about.
If what he said was wrong, it was wrong whether or not the daughters were in the room.
Glenn Makl... short on brains but with great calves.
What is a horrified soon to be unemployed spinning instructor?
Answer: Dumb
How could the Bush daughters be anywhere in public without everyone knowing? Don't they have SS guys protecting them?
Gaffes: " A socially awkward or tactless act."
This man was making fun of Bush for HIS gaffes?
I thought it was a class where little kids are taught to spin around without falling.
You would think that the presence of a couple of guys in suits and sunglasses, standing outside the door of his aerobics class, would have made him think that someone special was in the gym . . .
And just what makes this instructor think that her political views are shared by the rest of the class? I didn't think it was a "media spinning" class.

She's a "spinning instructor" too. Great googly-moogly... |
her=his
Instead of "spinning", maybe he was "twirling in his tutu". Maybe it was Ron Reagan Jr.?
I can't believe how rude people are to the Bush daughters. Some people have no manners or class at all.
He is a horses.''''''''' patoot..the A$$.. Jake
LOL! Ride like heck on a stationary bike, my daughter just started taking a class last week. She was exhausted! The instructor was impressed that she could at least keep up! I'll pass, I prefer Denise Austin! :}

The rules, people, the rules!
They should put those spinning wheels to good use. If they aren't going to make yarn, then at least hook up a generator to the wheel. They could generate enough electricity to run the lights at the gym.
Most Dimocrats have no class!
I sense a spinning class in your future ...
Perhaps mine as well.
"The world would be a better place if people would stop saying things to others that they wouldn't say in front of the people they are talking about.
"
Right you are, which is why there's a rule about pinging people who you're talking about in a post. It's a good rule. One should always be willing to say to someone's face what they are willing to say behind their back.
That would require the ability to perceive things as they really are. One cannot do that and be a leftist at the same time. The two are mutually exclusive.
LOL! Good idea!
It might be time to step back a couple of steps.
Can you believe people actually pay money for these lessons? This younger generation is going to the dogs!
I don't understand why he is 'horrified'. Does he just want to be a weasel that makes fun of people behind their backs and not to their faces?
Right you are. That is a component of character.
Nice tomato.
Damn!
Remember Rush's "Restless Leg Syndrome" parody?
I hope those daughters quit that class or at least get an apology from the teacher.
Why do people need an instructor to tell them how fast to go? They need a class for this?
It's BS. Someone is trying to promote a video. IT'S A PROMOTION STUNT!
Poor girl looks deformed with those fake boobs! Yuck!
I've noticed one thing about DC. People there tend to just assume that everyone else is a liberal, too. I've come up against that there.
I run into it in a lot of places. There's an arrogance that goes with liberalism that makes them assume people will applaud their ludicrous comments. It's fun to catch them off guard with a voice of dissent.
Living in the area, I have observed the same thing.
Amen to your post #14

Agreed. "Liberals" also.
What is it about these liberals that interject their political whining into every venue? I have seen it at two business dinners, a business conference call and a college orientation. These people need to grow up. It's not that they weren't heard in 2004, it's that their views were rejected by 62 million voters. A year and a half later they are still refighting it. Absolutely infantile.
