"I had my own drug and alcohol problems and my demons almost killed me but I believe my battles made me stronger."
Thank goodness you got out of that lifestyle and you are correct it must have made you stronger
"I don't know where Mr. Grammer stands on any issues, so I'll reserve judgment on him until that time."
Same here though given CA liberal leanings i am guessing he is probably slightly to the right of Arnold
"Nor will I hold being an actor against him either. I recall President Reagan was one too."
After watching President Bush fumble the English language for the 5 years, I'm more convinced than ever that being a solid public speaker is a prerequisite to be influential public office holder. Perhaps the Presidents biggest failing is his inability to coherently relay his message and has been the cause of considerable stress and dissent.
Though I'm still unclear on his stance on any issues, Mr. Grammer does claim to be a Republican, and I believe him to be highly intelligent. I think he could mount a solid challenge against Sen. Boxer in California and I think he should be seriously considered. His ugly past could be considered a strength since he is quite open about the road he's been down. I think it gives him more credibility.
