Here's the deal: For those fans who would like to ask for a photo-- please send an email request to Tony at tonysnow@foxnews.com (please note in the subject line of the email "For Tony") and provide your home mailing (not email) address. Tony will send you a real, actual, signed photo -- not stuff that people have to download. Please pass it on.By the way, if you miss anything, the show is streamed again immediately after the three hours. Please feel free to add thread narrative about what is aired on the show as a group effort is helpful to get more of the content posted and is much appreciated by those reading the thread later. If youd like on or off the Tony Snow Show ping list, please post a request. All requests happily honored.
"Woof" is used in broadcasting to say "stop," "that's enough" or to mark a specific point in time -- which is what is done in this case. "Tony's show starts in 3 minutes: WOOF!" Means in 3 minutes from-- NOW!

All indications are today is the big day. Spring may be breaking out everywhere, but predications are that it will soon be snowing in Washington, DC.
If you want on, or off, the Tony Snow ping list, please FReepMail dinasour.
Well, here we are. Do we know whose in for our leader today?
Shouldn't we have a separate LIVE thread for the Press Secretary announcement?
Good Morning!
Will photo requests still be honored? I requested on at least 6 months ago.

April 26, 2006 Be True To Your Word
Let your "Yes" be "Yes," and your "No," "No." Matthew 5:37 |

Shortly before his death, the Duke of Burgundy was presiding over the Cabinet Council of France. A proposal was made by the ministers that would violate a treaty but would secure important advantages for the country. Many reasons were offered to justify the deed. The Duke listened in silence, and when all had spoken he closed the conference without giving approval. Placing his hand on a copy of the original agreement, he said with firmness in his voice, "Gentlemen, we have a treaty!"
Its important that Christians act and speak so that the Savior is glorified. When you give your word, keep it. If you make a commitment, honor it. If you take on an obligation, fulfill it. As Jesus said in Matthew 5:37, "Let your Yes be Yes."
Our honesty and reliability should be so evident that we can be trusted for any contract we make. What better testimony could be said of a believer than this: "He gave his word; thats good enough for me." And if non-Christians can trust us in business matters, they are more likely to believe us when we speak about the gospel.
If you are tempted to go back on a promise, think again of the words of the Duke of Burgundy: "Gentlemen, we have a treaty!"
Uphold me in the common strife;
Give me the grace to work and plan;
And in the marketplace of life,
O keep me, Lord, an honest man. Bayliss
Never give your word unless you intend to keep it.

If the shows don't improve from today's, I am going to cancel my XM and work in my garden.
White House announcement with Tony shortly after 9AM Eastern!

Awww, man! Could this possibly be the last thread?
I still hope he says those in the room are "smoking rope" and we aren't listening to any more of Helen's "snarky" commentary today.
Here is the link to clawrence's live announcement thread:

HONOR.....a lovely word, concept, AND practice. To have it is indispenable to living life as it should be lived. Thanks, Mayor.
I think Brian is going to be in. A happy but bittersweet day.
I am not yet prepared to think about that :(
Good Morning dina, thanks for the ping! Big day, God Bless Tony.
I'm still wondering about the staff...will they still be around?

>Well, here we are. Do we know whose in for our leader today?
The on the show today mentioned Brian.
Maybe, once it's official, Tony can call in.
I always enjoy your post on Tony's show thread. I sahre it with my daughter, who shares with her mother-in-law and others. Since I don't know what will happen to this thread, could you ping me when you post somewhere. Thanks so much for all you do.
FYI, AOL headline reads "White House hires Fox News Pundit", like that somehow taints him.
Ican imagine radio station managers across the nation scrambling to figure out their new line ups.
I understand, but they might move John Gibson over. It would make sense from Fox's point of view. I like John...he's NOT Tony (no one is), but he's also entertaining.
>Shouldn't we have a separate LIVE thread
Perhaps, but I can't keep up with two threads.
Someone will probably post one anyway.
Thanks for the link, Bah. I saw it, but this way I have both!
No problem - I posted one in Breaking News.
I post it daily on the finest thread.. I can add you to that ping list..
This is todays thread.

Thanks Miss Marple - I got up late today and was hoping I hadn't missed the WH announcement.
I agree w you about the Judge. He used to be ok on at least some issues, but I got irritated w him on Dubai and harping on the Patriot Act and on immigration. Listening to him filling in for BOR radio a few weeks ago (it replays here at 6 p.m. - so sometimes listen on my way home from work).
He clearly is also soft on immigration, too. I'm not a one-issue person like some of those on the immigration threads, and do feel sorry for most of those people; however, I feel things needs to be tightened up, borders controlled, and, for a start, current laws enforced. At least what I heard from him - -his stance was more along the line of the Swimmer or Swimmer-lite.
"Tony can call in."
That would be neat. A guest on his own show.
> I'll miss Tony Snow!! What'll happen to his show?
No one knows, for now, except perhaps Rodger Ailes. I haven't heard any rumors, either.
Maybe they will move someone else in, like Brian. He pretty good.
They might just move John Gibson into his timeslot.
Is he...is he not...is he...is he not....?...going to be here?
"FYI, AOL headline reads "White House hires Fox News Pundit", like that somehow taints him."
When George Steffy got his Sun show on ABC or Carville & the Forehead got their show on the Commie News Network, I don't suppose AOL had a headline:
Ex-Clintonista's hired by ABC (CNN) or
Former DNC/Clinton Talking Heads Hired by ABC (CNN) OR
Partisan Democrat Liars hired by ABC (CNN)

Hey! Remember who you're talking to. There are tons of things I don't want to think about, but I have no choice.
Just remember that these things too shall pass. Bummer, but it will pass.
Gotta go dark now. The faxes are about to be sent and received. Way to go, Tony!
I can't imagine people who like to listen to Tony wanting to replace him with Jerry Springer.
I'm wondering who the local station managers are going to pick up to fill their vacancies, now.
Anyone got this recording?
"What'll happen to his show?"
It'll go away 'cause it won't be "The Tony Snow Show" anymore. :>)
Since nature abhores a vaccuum, you can bet that many will be clammoring for the spot. Those already syndicated in that time slot (Ingraham & who else?) will benefit but it will be interesting to see what new and/or less know voices arise.
The White House announcement, that is.
Thank you so much!
NOt a judge fan anymore either.
For those in offices (like me) and not just satisfied with XM audio, the WH is video-streaming the installation.
Good morning, Dinasour. Tx for the ping. Fingers crossed.
Its snowing all over the globe!

Just saw on FNC that Condi and Rummy are in Bagdad on a surprise visit to meet w new Iraqi leadership and troops.
I wonder if Brit Hume is interested in doing a talk show.
