Europe 'Within Missile Range of Iran'
Breaking News.ie ^ | 4/27/06

Posted on 04/27/2006 6:21:05 AM PDT by areafiftyone

Iran has recently purchased BM-25 surface-to-surface missiles from North Korea that put European countries within firing range, Israel’s military intelligence chief, Maj. Gen. Amos Yadlin, has been quoted as saying today.

The missiles, which have a range of 1,550 miles, are capable of carrying nuclear warheads, and part of the shipment has already reached Iran, the Haaretz daily newspaper reported.

The wry irony is Russia, who recently approached us for some sort of "protection" or at least an alliance to fend off the Iranians who they have been supplying all the material to equip Iran with nuclear as well as rocketry to target the US.

Turns out the easiest route to the US is the Polar route which goes right over Russia.

(Yikes!)

Ya think maybe now Europe will get a hint?

Their "hint," such as it is, is that inevitable 'oh, sh*t' moment when they realize that they cannot do anything about Iran without asking us and the British for help.

The Europeans have no way to project significant power to other places in the world. For the past 60 years they've been content to let us do the heavy lifting in that arena, while they get to sit around and bitch about us.

And now they'll realize in the most embarrassing possible way that they're toothless without us.

Schadenfreud is best when it's allowed to mature for a while..... ;-)

The Iranians would do well to remember that no people have such a rich and varied history of industrialized mass murder when it comes to doing away with their enemies or minority groups which have outlived their utility, or their welcome, than the Europeans.

Whether we're talking about the response to the "Albegensian Heresy", to the tradition of pogroms, the Crusades, the Inquisition, the French Revolution, the destruction of Native American and African tribal powers via smallpox and the machine gun, the Opium Wars, two World Wars (really four), right on through to Hitler's industrial-line death camps, Europeans are on the forefront of killing technology, and the will to use it, whenever they can justify it.

And they do find ways to justify it.

A mushroom cloud over Rome, Paris of Brussels would be just the thing to wake the sleepy Eurocrats from their slumber (although I DO NOT advocate it) and the resulting retribution would be more terrible than anything we Americans could ever unleash (we like to think we have morals, after all).

The Iranians (and all the rest of the Islamic nutjobs) would do well to remember what Europe has been capable of in the past, because that is a foretaste of the future should Islam finally go too far.

InHonor.net exceeded their Bandwidth (and could use more donations) but, you can still view this Iranian Military Presentation from web Archives. As you can see from the video, they are paying tribute to missiles and targets. I see U.S. (USA), Star of David (Israel) and the swastika (Tibet?)

The only reason you would need a missile to deliver a strategic weapon is if the target is narrow and the purpose is to destroy a specific strategic target, OTOH, if you are using the weapon to terrorize a population instead of taking out a specific military target, one of these will work just fine.

We're all in range of one of those.

- Not the socialist, leftist Europeans of today.

25 nuclear bombs on missiles are not significant militarily. Their only use is to discourage potential aggressors. If they are actually used or if their use is even threatened, they are useless.

"Those were the Europeans that you read about in history class. Not the socialist, leftist Europeans of today."

Just wait until enough of them die. Madrid and London combined didn't even "rise to the level" of a 9/11. As for "redefining the problem" the problem is this: just as Usama Bin Hindin' figured out, you could continue to execute pinprick raids and acts of terrorism against America forever in the manner of a mosquito stinging an elephant. Lay a real smackdown them and they will cower.

Usama miscalcualted with regards to the United States, didn't he?

In Europe today you have a series of events starting with Madrid and London, moving on through the French Muslim Riots of this past winter, coupled with the French Labor Riots of this spring, the Italian problems with Albanian Muslim "refugees", the Danish Cartoon Protests, The murder of Dutch politicians and film directors at the hands of Muslim extremeists, that will eventually arouse the Europeans themselves, not their politicians.

The "problem" is NOT Europeans. It is the European government minister who does not live in the world he has created for his people, and is not held responsible for his actions.

You have to differentiate between the typical European populace and the high-ideal-no-sense-of-reality-European-bureaucrat. The two cannot be further apart in terms of the reality they inhabat.

The PEOPLE of Europe are ready for a fight. The POLTICIANS are not. Events will conspire to replace the "nuanced, reasoned approach" of the one with the "rabid, red-meat" response of the other. Espeiclaly if there is a mushroom cloud over Paris, Brussels, Berlin, Copenhagen or Rome.

There is a distinction to be made between rational and reasonable. Iammadjohn may be highly rational, but totally unreasonable. He may have no problem ruining several countries to bring about his apocalype, although he won't get the apocalypse he expects but another. Wisdom, an ancient Persian virtue, does not appear to be his.

Yes I think that's what is going to happen exactly and as you say, he lacks a bit of wisdom. He's bringing a huge hammer down on himself (and others, many I'm sure who don't want it to happen).

Iranian President Mahmoud's Ahmadinejad's mystical pre-occupation with the coming of a Shiite Islamic messiah figure – the Mahdi – is raising concerns that a nuclear-armed Islamic Republic could trigger the kind of global conflagration he envisions will set the stage for the end of the world.

They claim he will lead their army with a white horse - an army with "marks on their foreheads".
According to the Koran, their leader will reign for 7 years, and the book ends there.

Our Bible says the Antichrist will reign for 7 years and Christ himself will throw their leader into the fiery abyss for all eternity leading to a 1,000 years of peace on earth. When the islamo facists are gone, the world will have no more wars.
If you look at the wars raging around the world, you'll notice most of them are with Muslims. Some are even Muslims against Muslims!
