We're gonna be in trouble on May 1!!!!

According to McCain the illegals earn $100,000 a year picking lettuce and the drunkard Kennedy said illegal families pay more than $80,000 in taxes a year.

That's some serious money...

/sarcasm

I want to know where those congressional crackheads are getting their numbers. It's obvious the political leeches in BOTH parties are so out of touch with the average American that they need to be removed from power.

"If you have ever wondered which local businesses hire illegal aliens and which ones hire legal residents and play by the rules, then on Monday, May 1, you will finally know."

http://www.gopusa.com/theloft/?p=270

The Department of Homeland Security announced Thursday that it would be implementing a new, revolutionary, cutting-edge, state-of-the-art approach to the illegal immigration problem. What is this “new” approach? Believe it or not, the department declared that the U.S. would now be cracking down on employers who “knowingly and recklessly” hire illegal aliens. In other words, they are going to try a “new” program called “enforcing existing laws.” Guess what? It works!

May 1st would be a good time to see if Homeland Security's "state-of-the-art" approach really works. (Ill believe it when I see it.)

GET OUT AND SUPPORT THOSE BUSINESSES THAT PLAY BY THE RULES.

I wonder if this is the right strategy? I'm kind of hoping that the boycott is fabulously successful and it brings the businesses that rely on illegals (as laborers or as customers) to their knees.

I'm thinking that the more damage done by the boycott, the bigger the backlash. It is tempting to actively support the boycott to ensure a bigger backlash.

I saw a poster on another forum note that he would split the difference. He figured he would support the economy by buying a large Mexican flag and he would support the boycott by prominently waving it in front of TV cameras. I thought that was a pretty good idea that would fuel the backlash.

I agree with both of you.

I was planning on doing all my shopping on Monday, but I never thought about the backlash and by not shopping it would be helping it be bigger.

I think this whole "day" is going to backfire big time on these stinkin' illegals.

It just makes me sick how the government just lets it all happen and worse, makes excuses for it to continue.

WE DON'T NEED THEM!!!

I have so many purchases to make on May Day. I have been saving things up. I'll spend more on May 1, than I have in the last 3 months combined (mortgage aside).

To: Reagan Man; everyone

I have to point out something.

Although you may be able to tell which businesses hire illegals with the lack of personnel they have that day, that is overall NOT a reliable tool for verification.

Where I work, there are a LOT of LEGAL hispanic workers who are supposed to boycott work here in solidarity with their illegals friends.

Imagine that...you are legal, and you have a decent job, and you tell your employer to go pound sand to march with people who don't have a legitimate cause or even belong here.

I hope a lot of them get fired for job abandonment.

So, the moral of the story is, I am not boycotting a business because of who doesn't show up at work, I will boycott them because they allow themselves to be held hostage to this group of people.

I am looking for another job too. The attitdue of the hispanics here is an "in your face" open discrimination. Although the company goes above and beyond to make sure the workers are legal, they may look the other way on May 1, and that will be slapping the face of everyone who DOES go to work.

About the only thing that will affect me May 1, is I may not be able to get fast food - I'm comforatable packing a lunch. This rally will backfire IMO.

Looks like CARGILL her in Minneapolis is admitting they hire illegals? Nothing will happen to them I'm sure.

"Minneapolis-based agribusiness giant Cargill Inc. said it will close seven meatpacking plants so workers can participate."

The illegals and their abetting side kicks are trying to ruin the economy by doing this. If no one buys it'll show how much the illegal entrants are "necessary for our economy."

That's why we BUY. It shows they're NOT necessary to our economy. America can just deal with it if they're gone.

May 1 is going to be “A Day Without Illegal Aliens.”

I got a better idea: how about making May 5th the "Cinco De Mayo without Gringos?"

Better yet, celebrate at an Irish pub!

Have any of the resident FROBManiacs ever given any reasons why we should give our Mexican "guests" get-out-of-jail free cards?
"Sure, td--`cause you're stoopid."
Muy bien, gracias.

If you can't go shopping that day for some reason, call your boss and tell him or her that you want to work overtime.

Yeah...and these businesses that are supporting this protest better think hard about what they're doing. May 1st may be about immigration, but if this turns out to be successful, the next march may about wages and a better standard of living.

I can only imagine the ideas running through some heads as thoughts of organization and unionization take fruition at the site of "millons of workers" protesting in the streets. These people better be careful what they wish for.

What I plan on doing on May 1 is taking pictures of the Marxist supporters and sending them to my congresscritter. I am going to let them know that MY country is being taken over by Marxists posing as Democrats and what do they plan to do about it.

I am also writing a letter to the editor thanking them for bringing Illegal Aliens to the forefront of the news and asking why they aren't calling them illegal.
