Gore Picks Pals Over Cape Wind (Al Gore - Environmental Hypocrite)

Given his commitment to the environment, you'd think Al Gore would be a big booster of Cape Wind. Think again. Seems the former VP values his friendship with the Kennedys even more than the megawatts of clean, renewable energy the wind farm would yield.
(snip)
Pressed by the invite-only crowd at Loews Boston Common to use his influence to push the project, Gore copped out: ''I didn't come to pick a fight."

The Tennessean also took a shot at MIT prof Richard Lindzen, who's questioned the science behind global warming. ''His views are wrong," said Gore. ''That's the most charitable I can be." So Vanderbilt U theology dropout AlBore knows more about climatology than the PhD who teaches the subject at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, than which they don't come any more prestigious. Makes sense.

Actually, it's redundant. :) Jumbo shrimp would be an oxymoron.

Yes, I was trying to be funny :-) ...liberal hypocrisy is a standard fare nowadays -- it has become part of the landscape. Such buffoons and criminals they are...

Daly, Bush in town but not in tune
They were in town on the same day, but actress Tyne Daly and first lady Laura Bush did not cross paths. And that's just as well. ''I'd have to say something rude," said Daly, who spoke Tuesday at BU's Howard Gotlieb Archival Research Center, where her scripts and correspondence are on exhibit. ''If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all, I guess." (While Bush visited the Gardner, the ''Cagney & Lacey" actress stopped to see the Sargent murals at the Boston Public Library.) The Tony winner said it was a relief to find a home for her papers. ''The stuff was piling up around me," she said. ''It was feeling like Marley's chains."
Likewise, the stars of this weekend's Champions Cup Boston, the tennis tourney featuring John McEnroe, Mats Wilander, and others, let loose at the Copley Westin.
And liberals think being divisive is the Republicans fault.

Some one needs to put together a "Greenpeace" ad with a picture of Tubbie Ted, and the phrase, "He's just consuming too many natural (and unnatural) resources!"

Bill Clinton's sidekick called himself a ''recovering politician,"
Gore has been using this since mid 2000. His other one is "I used to be the next President of the United States". I wonder if anyone still laughs politely at that anymore or do they just sigh and look nervously at each other.

Yeah, but only the "little" people are supposed to sacrifice in the name of the environment - not the truly "important" people such as themselves and their friends. The feel that their mere existance makes this a better world.

My all time favorite leftist environmental hypocrisy from the last few years was the fact that no one ever brought up (during the Kerry campaign) the untold millions - probably billions - of little plastic, basically non-biodegradable Heinz ketchup and mustard packets that litter the planet.
