Why does the truth, that we were attacked on 9/11 by islamic wackos, scare them so? Because it means we are engaged in a death struggle for the domination of the planet, which will be long and bloody, and will require a great deal of sacrifice. This is unpleasant to most people.
Of course, just because something is unpleasant does not mean it must be denied.
