Sweden is boycotting an international air force exercise in Italy next month due to the fact that Israels Air Force will take part. It has also decided to grant entry visas to Hamas members.
Though not mentioning the Jewish State by name, Swedens Defense Minister Leni Bjorklund said that her country was withdrawing its participating due to the fact that "the Swedish Armed Forces were notified at a late stage that a state not belonging to the Partnership for Peace, and with which Sweden did not previously have bilateral military cooperation, and which does not take part in international peacekeeping missions was to take part in the air exercise."
A Swedish official told Israel Radio that Israel was not currently advancing peace and was therefore not fit to take part in the exercise.
Sweden has increasingly led anti-Israel moves in Europe, and the Swedish government has just recently granted visas to members of the Hamas terror group as well. Swedens Ambassador Robert Rydberg was called to Israels Foreign Ministry Thursday to explain the move.
MK Zevulun Orlev (National Union/NRP) slammed both decisions, saying that just a day after Holocaust Remembrance Day, an enlightened nation has surrendered to the Islamic axis of evil.
That's it, I'm boycotting blonds and they can keep their damn Swedish Fish too.
Seems like anti-Semetism is once again taking hold in Europe. Oh how enlightened those Europeans are.
Inga, you broke my heart.
Ikea - Swedish for not getting my business!
European sympathy for the Palestinians is utterly incomprehensible to most Americans.

I am calling on Freepers to boycott all things Swedish.
Israel really needs international support right now, and it is terrible to see the Euros abandon them like this.
May I humbly suggest buying some trees for Israel?
You know what they say about those who keep on making the same mistakes over and over again, don't you?
Good call, I totally forgot Volvos.

I think we'd all like to hear an explanation.
