What I would love to see is the Bligh trip after he was put in the open boat from the "Bounty". Probably one of the greatest examples of seamanship.

I've have that book when I was a kid, - and it's a great read. Young boys in particular, ought to read books about mountain climbing, south-sea voyages, runaway robots, arctic exploration, etc. This is, of course, in direct opposition with enlightened thought today here in the US. After all, a kid who lives in an apartment, will never climb a mountain, so reading about it would cause all sorts of psycho logical problems. Hell, he might want to go climb a mountain, and we can't have that!
I agree. I recently bought it in hardcover so my youngest daughter can read it. My paperback copy is kind of old and ragged.
With that kind of superior “knowledge” about Norwegians, you must be american. What has Lego to do with Norway? Working at a Fish cannery or at a wooden furniture factories are not noticeable professions in Norway today. Perhaps you’re thinking of Ikea? (swedish).
PS: Lego comes from Denmark. If you want to insult a norwegian, have a stab at our oil industry, gas export, IT industry or weapons manufacturing. Or have a go at whaling!
Pardon my ignorance of all my streotypes of all things Norwegian.
But my opinion of the younger Heyerdahl still stands however.
