Oh my. The President looked so much younger in 2001.
It happens to all of them, but he's had more to deal with. Gosh, I remember watching this in 2001. I voted for Gore, and was furious with his behavior in late 2000. Vowed never to vote Dem again. Appalled at how people protested at his inauguration. Notice the difference between 2000 & 2001. One mentioned his family (extensively), the other didn't.
It's a wonder he's not totally white haired by now - or bald - with all he's had to contend with
But he ages handsomely
Oh... there was Clinton's remark about Rush Limbaugh...
Nothing could make me watch the bashBush24/7 CSPAM network!
It's the most boring channel ever. One note johnny with liberals screaming anti-American screeds on every phone line.
Noone questions them; all DNC seminar boredom just accepted as fact. No less liberal than NPR. . . may be more so!
Listening to a Clinton replay makes me want to vomit.
We have a good friend in Seattle who, like almost everyone else there, voted for Gore. Three days after 9/11 she came to be and asked if I could help her join the Air Force. She also told me that sitting there watching the towers collapse she suddenly realized that she was glad Bush was President.
She didn't get into the Air Force (she's with the Sheriff's Department) but she's a volunteer at the USO lounge at SeaTac and confirmed Republican now.
Astute observation. - and very telling. People's true selves will show. But then again - his family isn't anything to be proud of.
Now he's on again! egad. But it's a great contrast. Maybe it will wake a few more people up
I just worry for him and his family. The hate against them is palpable when people mention him to me (I live in a blue city, many people I know thinks he's a fascist ). It is almost a religion to some - hatred of him. I don't get it.

Is there streaming audio? My apologies if I missed it already.
Finally got cable modem, so I have a chance of actually catching part of it. :)
He really does. And as you and others have mentioned, he has had far more to contend with than most. And he's willing to meet it head on, unlike others whom I shall not name and for once am glad I am out of the loop and missed his speech. ;)
You can get streaming video at:

For RealAudio.
Thank you!
Let me check it out. :)
It took me a while. I had my doubts in the Clinton years (and before - the LA Riots was called an "uprising" by friends of mine...) I though he should have resigned in 98. I also had trouble with the Chinagate stuff. Still do. Don't trust them. I must admit I bought into the spin that Starr was a wacko Puritan... Nice to hear about your friend. I flipped out often after Nov 2000 (until I decided to not talk politics with people, and avoid heart attacks). On 9/11 I saw a peace messages written on the sidewalk in my neighborhood. I was furious. I have become more conservative over time, mostly because I couldn't stand the "Bush was selected" "Why do they hate us?" stuff, and started reading conservative news. It all made sense. Not just emotions.
I was polled by Zogby last week and the questioner asked who I voted for in the last election: "Kerry" "Bush" or someone else? When I answered that I voted for PRESIDENT BUSH, she commented that my mother raised me well and it was refreshing to hear. How sad that my response was so rare.
It's as tho' they had all been brainwashed by some very evil power. The hate is palpable. It gets in the way of reason.
It seems the blue stater's (I too am a red spot in a sea of blue :o( )are herd animals. They have no capacity for independent thinking. They all operate off one corroded, corrupt, slime covered brain, all parroting from that one source
Sometimes it seems some chilling specter of pure evil is operating in our country, as dangerous to us as the terrorists.
My recurring fantasy is Jenna handing me her unlisted phone number... |
