Movie star JAKE GYLLENHAAL has shocked American Gulf War veterans by joking they did nothing but "masturbate" during their time in the desert in 1991.
The cheeky 25-year-old stars in JARHEAD, a movie exposing the US soldiers' lack of combat in the Middle Eastern conflict.
He said, "The US soldiers were sent to the desert for 122 days and they sat in the same tent and did nothing, except a little too much masturbating."
What a dweeb! (albeit a wealthy dweeb, for selling himself to Whorellywood)

I never heard of the a$$hole but I guess it's a reflection of what he'd be doing in their place.
There is the perception out there that there was nothing but an air war.
A vet was complaining to me last week just about that.
I hope he does.....
He comes from a left wing family (his mother was the screenwriter of "Running On Empty"), so you can't really blame him for his outlook.
But that remark was really tasteless. Hopefully, he'll have the good sense to apologize.
I hope he has no future. I guess he's one of the queers from humpback mountain. No wonder I never heard of him.
He's like Stalin - he projects what he does onto some other individual or group so they get blamed for it. In this case, I suspect Gyllenhall (or whatever his name is) is really into love/admiration of himself and does quite a bit of what he accused the Marines of doing.
Iraq War vets are not the only vets he's offending. I'd like to see him hace off with a real Marine myself.
On another note, I will not see that movie "Brokeback Mountain" because I regard the practices that it condones as abominations.

Hollywood dropped their original facade of "We suppoert the troops but not the war".
Their true colors are showing, they really loathe America and all she stands for.
He's an expert on war because he was in a movie about one.
Albeit, one of the stupidest movies ever made.
Since then, I understand he's also become an expert on agriculture.
My husband was a Marine grunt on the frontlines during the Gulf War. He was with 3/7, Lima Co., Weapons Plt. They saw a lot of action. They went in and cleared some mine fields before taking Al Jabar airport. He had nightmares for years because of it. He absolutely refused to see the "Jarhead" movie. He read part of the book and got so mad, I thought he was going to have a stroke. He said the guy that wrote it is full of crap. Most of the book is garbage and didn't happen.
Jake Gyllenhaal isn't man enough to walk in a real Marines shoes. And from his vantage point, has absolutely no idea what went on. His OPINION isn't worth the air it was spoken with.
I messed up - I thought he was talking about the present war - no change in the analysis, though.
Let me make sure I have this right - a war in which we swept the enmey away in a matter of hours and he calls it masturbating. I guess he knows a lot about masturbating - when he's not fellating or sodomizing or receving same.
