I'm glad someone is injecting some common sense into this worldwide flaccid threat management.

Israel has proven over and over that they will do whatever is necessary to protect their existance. The world better understand that this time is no different.

God speed to them.

China is being particularly nasty in the current situation.

Mossad's dirty tricks can reach very distant shores--the Chinese are playing with fire.

I seem to recall much the same thing being said about the threat from Iraq. The problem is that in the case of Iran, where preemptive action is far more pressing and justified, the West will be far more hesitant to act given what's played out in Iraq.

I wonder how the hotel is coming? The one the Iran's vile President is currently building for the return of Mo-hammed(pork guts be upon him)?

If this nut is building a hotel for Armageddon, doesn't anyone wonder why we have to wait until Europe is scared enough to do something? France is perpetually terrified, it is their very nature. We need to do something NOW.

Which will give Israel all the more reason to act. I wouldn't be shocked if Iran already declared war on Israel sometime in the past. The statements by the Iranian President, in addition to the statements made by the Ayatollah (Supreme Leader, right?) are surely enough to warrent a military response by Israel. Probably even a declaration of war. The entire non-US/Israel UN already hates Israel. Just how much consideration do you think Israel will give their objections when the very fate of their country is at stake? Not much. The only real questions now are will we be there with them and just how far will they take this thing. I just hope that afterwards, the Patriot Missles will work better than they did during the gulf war.

Teheran weather forecast:

The usual scattered gunfire in the morning...

Lightning-bolt rhetoric gives way to raining laser_guided bunker busters by evening...

Tomorrow or the next day: 10,000 degrees in the shade.

These moosad guys are serious about their security and survival....

Likely an accurate forecast.... I s'pect

The entire world sits there and lets the insane leader of Iran build a nuclear weapon with the avowed purpose of using it without provocation. If they let him do what he says he will do, the planet will look very different on day after. In a nuclear / thermonuclear exchange there will be no real survivors, just victims; some early-on, most over a longer term. It is an ugly picture to contemplate.

if the Israeli leadership believes the threat is imminent and lethal, of course they'll go it alone vs. iran-won't care 'bout world opinion(and ya gotta know DC would welcome and, at least secretly, support such an "agent for change").

Not to worry. Just saw a clip of Colin Powell saying that no one has used nuclear weapons since Hiroshima and Nagasaki so he doubts anyone would use it in the 21st. century.

I simply LOATHE Powell.

His reasoning is faulty and he couldn't resist that dig at America for using the bomb.

IMO, Japan and Hitler deserved to have a bomb dropped on them. Too bad we didn't take Hitler out sooner.

As for Iran....just ludicrous for him to suggest that it's leader is sane or rational.

If he hand't been averse to taking out Saddam Hussein during the first Gulf War, perhaps we wouldn't be having to clean up his leftover mess.

Well, at least our good friends and trading partners, China is doing something about it. /s

Ceeding Gassa.
This is one that I have never understood and, am sure many Israelis haven't.
The United States may have played a roll in this on coming fiasco, of course we will never no.

The CIA is rotten and under Bill Clinton anything is possible.
