That's it in a nutshell. Time to purge and reinstall.
I'd like a new operating system rather than just a reinstall of the old. I propose one based one the Constitution of the United States.
FWIW, I agree. Include the rest of the federal, and State, governments, too.
There are some politicians who have been there since Christ made Corporal, They are a virus in and of themselves and should be deleted from the system. I believe one of them is from Mass, and another from West Va.
This is a single issue election year. It's time to purge and rebuild the system before we get a "blue screen of death".
No vote to any incumbent. Not a one.
Sounds like term limits to me?
There is no interest more special than mine.
fantastic article

While your rant and suggestion is commendable, practically speaking, we've allowed entire industries and empires to be built around the largess and ill-thought-out schemes of Congress. Just look at the industry surrounding keeping the tax code as complex as possible so that only "experts" can fill out the forms each year. Any major change in the system, e.g. the Fair-Tax would send tidal waves crashing through our economy. In the long term, the waves would do some good and wash away a bit of the corruption of 200+ years, but in the short term, the damage would just make room for politicians to rush in to rescue the poor unfortunate.
Your rant and Conservative Coulter Fan's a few days ago typify the anger and contempt that is growing, especially among Republicans for our politicans. I fear that our Congresspeople and the RNC aren't hearing that anger.
< rant> Illegal aliens are marching in the streets for the right to violate our laws, but the faithful Republican voters are going to their jobs as usual building the nation and our economy, trying to make a living to support our families and pay our taxes. When are we going to march and boycott to get our country back, to get our Constitution back, to get the message through to our politicians that we don't want more government, we want less government. </rant>
Interesting the McCain and Feingold wanted to get special interest money out of politics. Sadly, all they did is make it so we cannot complain publicly - right before an election.
The propensity for the average Joe to enter the polling booth and vote for names they recognize has led us to this juncture.
It is not term limits if it is not law, but the will of the people.
So many good points in this article it's hard to find just one or two. But I've been posting for a time now that the drift toward socialism is going to destroy our country. Within my lifetime we will look like France.

That sentence grabbed me too. Among other excellent insights in the piece.
I must try to remember this author William Jud. Today's piece ranks up with a Mark Steyn for insight and lucidity.
I just mailed this out to Sen. Lindsey Graham's office and suggest freepers send it to their legislators. They'd better get the hint and quick; it's hard to put the toothpaste back in the tube.
Exactly!
Just like the neighbors on my 4 sides just "pull the donkey" and never give a thought to what is happening and how it falls short of how a Constitutional America should be.
They fall for that old line "..vote for me and I'll get you some gubm'nt money!" so much that candidates from both political parties are saying it now.
