Garcia, DeNiro, and Connery made
The Untouchables. Everyone else in that movie was filler. That's right,
Waterworld-boy, I'm talking to you. >:( Costner ruins every movie he appears in.
But not even his suck could eliminate the combined awesomeness of those three actors.

Cuban and Venezuelan Communist thugs open a worshipful statue of the new god Che in Caracas, Venezuela:
The Venezuelan people give their opinion of their new god at 3AM. The next day....

Look, if we are truly an activist site, let's see the movie in DROVES, and if it truly is a good movie, tell our friends! Because I am an activist, I plan on it

FYI---Andy Garcia gave money to Nick Clooney in 2004. That's the dumbo's dad who ran for office in Kentucky and lost.

There's not one city within a thousand miles of me showing this movie.
Too bad, I like Andy Garcia, and figure he ought to know something about Cuba.

Costner ruins every movie he appears in. "Field of Dreams" and "Dances With Wolves" included?
I don't think he screwed up either of those.

re: If only masses of Cubans had been shown toiling in salt mines like Spartacus, or picking crops like Tom Joad, or getting lashed by a vicious landlord like Kunta Kinte, or hustling for a living like Ratso Rizzo! )))

Field of Dreams was saved by the 1337 acting skillz of James Earl Jones. Dances, imho, sucked.

Is there anyone here that can enlighten me as to Che's murders? I remember reading a biography on him about 25 or 30 years ago and apparently the writer of the book missed that little tidbit of info. If I remember correctly the book came across as a dopey motorcycle trip. I thought "Investment Biker" was better although the author kept on saying he "drove" a motorcycle. Eeech.
Thanks in advance.

If only his characters had spoken with accents like John Belushi's as a "Saturday Night Live" killer bee! If only they'd dressed like The Three Amigos! If only they'd behaved like Cheech and Chong! If only they'd mimicked the mannerisms and gait of Freddie Prinze in "Chico and the Man"! If only the women had piled a roadside fruit stand on their head like Carmen Miranda in "Road to Rio"! If only the cast had looked like the little guy who handles my luggage when I visit Cancun! Or the guys who do my lawn! Everybody knows that's what Hispanics look like! Gee, I thought they looked like this!
I should point out that growing up my favorite H.S. teacher was a Cuban fugitive with a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Sorbonne and my family doctor was a wonderful graduate of the University of Habana Medical School. One thing I did not suffer from was any sentimental notions about Fidel.

Someone please tell Andy Garcia "kudos," for me will you?
I'd sure go see his movie if it weren't 1200 miles to the nearest theater.
To: taxed2death
You read Motorcycle Diaries? Yeah, that was about Che the motorcycling tourist. It was about the period in his life before he started killing people.
