I think conflict in Iran is inevitable and I pray that we'll be more loyal than we have been to the people of Iraq. It better get done while W is in office as I expect him to be replaced by a pandering whore, whichever party they come from, after seeing how Bush has been raped for doing what he is called to do without clearing every damn thing with the pundits and all the orthodoxy fetishists here on FR.

Well-stated. While it's true that the Shah himself left a great deal to be desired, those who overthrew him turned out to be even worse.
Jimmy Carter's foreign policy was one failure after another, and his Iran policy is the most egregious.

I hope they can over trow the mullahs themselves, however, we don't know all the details as of yet.
I hope by this time this fall we would have witnessed ( via Fox news ) the over trow of the mullahs, and the US working with the freedom fighters in Iran to form a new government.
