I received this from former freeper donnalyn. It came from JudyB1938 son Victor:
Last Friday mom went in for a routine heart catherization for clogged arteries. The doctor, in his infinite wisdom, decided that she had to have an immediate triple bypass. She recovered, as expected, the next day. Then, on Monday, she has fluid build up around the heart and coded. Her brain was deprived of oxygen for too long and she is now effectively brain dead. She will be taken off of life support tomorrow.
Judy B lasted posted on 4/25/06 and on 4/21/06 actually posted on Heart Disease the focus shifts to women. You can see her posts here http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/user-posts?id=20872.
Prayers for Judy and her family
Oh father in heaven who knows the heart of all your children, strengthen your daughter and the family... give them courage and strength for all they have to face. We know you are a just judge... and your ways are above our ways.
May God welcome her home.
I am truly grieved right now. I have known Judy on-line now since the late 90's and although I talked with her on the phone a few times, I am really disappointed right now I never had a chance to meet her face to face.
No pinging the lists tonight or reading the news. I thought it important a face was put on the grand lady this thread is about. Too often the people we meet at Free Republic are just screen names on a monitor. At least I had a chance to talk to her.
Judy was the very person who recruited me to Free Republic. In fact, I still have her very first email to me saved on a zip disk. I saved all the years of correspondence she sent me since then.
The bulk of my personal website was due to her. She was always sending me and our small circle of friends interesting links and articles which from time to time proved to be invaluable. I can't remember the number of times she sent research material through on any subject I was dealing with at the time.
Other times, she would just send some nutty picture through that would come totally out of left field. The most recent one was a picture of this very heavy woman and a little poem about belly button rings. My Wife was looking over my shoulder and we just laughed out loud, it was so outrageous. I forwarded it to a few people and told them Judy sent it, with a "LOL!" She wrote back laughing, too.
But that was Judy. On-line her gracious, loving, and funny personality always overwhelmed you. I could spend days going through her old emails to me, consistently filled with encouragement and praise. I often called her my on-line Mom. She spent so much time on me.
All these pictures she sent to me over the years. I always liked the one of her in the front seat of the car making that face, I think she was around thirty in that one. I symbolizes everything about her personality and character. In the end, she was one of many older people I keep company with who hold that old school Conservative philosophy.
She maintained a website Here:
Some of the links might not work because there are errors in the HTML.
Although, yes, I am comforted she is in the presence of the Lord, it is still an incredible loss and sense of sadness. What a wonderful life. She was a great friend, patriot American, and truly a part of Free Republic history.
I hope her son knows our thoughts and prayers are with him. This has to be a very trying time, and I can't say I understand, for I have not experienced pain like that.
God be with him and comfort Judy.
Sorry to see you again under these circumstances.
That is a very beautiful tribute to Judy, Mike. God Bless you and thank you for sharing all the memories and lovely photos of Judy.
Judy was beautiful as a child and a very beautiful woman. Many of her posts show the beauty which shown from within.
Thank you for the ping, Gramma. I trust God has this in His hands. Prayers sent for Judy and her family.
Her wit, wisdom and fellowship will be greatly missed...((:(

Prayers to you and your family
God bless you, sweetheart!! You are a good son and she knows it...(don't think she doesn't!)
Thank you so much for this, Mike. Damn! I'll miss her.
That was a lovely tribute you wrote about your mother. You obviously loved each other very much. My condolences to your family.
Prayers for her family and their loss.
Prayers for Judy and her family.
Same thing happened to my Dad, I won't forget.
Thanks again, Mike, for posting mom's website. Man, the grief sure is hitting now but reading over her site is starting the healing process. Thank you.
Judy: I cried myself when I read this about your mama. It may help you to understand WHY she was crying. She was not crying for herself. She was crying for you, her child. She can't stand the thought of leaving you alone without her.
I feel the same way. I get so sad and also cry when I think of how my children will react when I am dead and gone. It's really going to be hard on some of them to not have my love and stabilizing effect.
I learned when I was young that the older you get, the more precious life becomes. What I didn't understand is that it's precious because of our loved ones, not because of ourselves. I couldn't care less about staying alive for ME. I just hate it that I have to leave my children alone.
Just sent a prayer her way.
Life is certainly fickle. I found out that my beloved St. Bernard, Caleb, had bone cancer on Feb. 3rd while I was visiting mom in Arkansas. That very day, BabyLuv, Caleb's sister, turned up missing and certainly presumed dead. At the time, who could ever have imagined that mom would precede Caleb? Ain't it just amazing the twists and turns that life throws at you?!
Thanks for the ping, the note, pictures, and links.
May God keep her. She was one of the good ones.
I journey on my way.
What need I fear when thou art near,
Oh king of night and day?
More safe am I within thy hand
Than if a host did round me stand.
What a shocking thing.......and my deepest condolences to her family in this trying time. Prayers up from the RightOnline household.......that God provides them strength; that the family is able to thank Him for the wonderful years they had with JudyB.
Our prayers today for her and her soul and for family.
