WASHINGTON -U.S. Rep. Patrick Kennedy insisted yesterday that he had consumed no alcohol before he slammed his Mustang convertible into a concrete barrier near his office, but a hostess at a popular Capitol Hill watering hole told the Herald she saw him drinking in the hours before the crash.
He was drinking a little bit, said the woman, who works at the Hawk & Dove and would not give her name.
Leaving his office late last night, Kennedy refused to say whether hed been to the Hawk & Dove the night before.
Earlier in the evening, Kennedy issued a statement through his office blaming the accident and strange behavior surrounding it on prescription drugs.
He said he returned to his Capitol Hill home on Wednesday evening after House votes and took prescribed amounts of Phenergan and Ambien.

Chicken$hit got drunk at the Hawk and Dove.
Oh good! I'm relieved to know that he was only high off prescription drugs and not alcohol.
That's OK then. As long as he wasn't driving drunk.
(sarcasm off)
I'm guessing that the Drive By Media will help conceal this lady.
"witness" better watch his back or he'll be the new Vince Foster.
Booze + Ambien = DUI. Pretty simple math, really. No field sobriety or hospital blood test? Gosh, I wonder why not.
Woman who worked at the Hawk & Dove mysteriously disappears. Police say no indication of foul play.
I hope this waitress can swim.
Booze with some drugs makes a bad combination.
It is in his genes. He's an addict and alcoholic, and he's been through treatment, so he knows it!
God keeps giving these Kennedys a chance to be a good example and influence people in a positive way -- and they keep refusing.
We'll know immediately when a Kennedy becomes humble, teachable, and sober -- he will leave the Dems and join the GOP. He will be RECOVERED!
Will his medical records be spread all over the internet, the way Rush Limbaugh's were?

'Hawk & Dove' Hostess body pulled out of the Potomac'
That ambien is a knockout pill. You're supposed to take it right before you jump in bed.
I doubt anything will happen to the 'special' a-grade upper class noble citizen however.
"Kennedy refused to say whether hed been to the Hawk & Dove the night before..."
That should be easy to check...credit card charges, interviewing staff, security cameras...
That damn Republican Culture of Corruption made him do it!!!!

Who ever heard of a Kennedy drinking "a little bit"?
Or she ends up in the tidal basin!
Drugs.com lists the following possible side effects:
allergic reaction including difficulty breathing hallucinations abnormal behavior severe confusion Other less serious side effects include headache, nausea, depression, muscle pain, vivid dreams, temporary amnesia, and others.
How very convenient. Take a day or two to think about it, learn there are posted side effects, and blame the Ambien.

It was the Ambien...yeah...that's the ticket..
A Kennedy? Impaired on drugs and alcohol? Naaaaaahhhhh!
"I'm not as think as you drunk I am, officer!"
They all assumed Cheney was falling down drunk when he shot his friend.
***By Kennedy Drinking Standards, that is ( a half a fifth of bourbon = "a little bit"
Scott Ott is devastating, as usual:

Kennedys just can't tell the truth.

"Senator Kennedy killed that girl the same as if he put a gun to her head and pulled the trigger" - George Killen ~ State Police Detective - Lieutenant on the scene
"a little bit" for a Kennedy means that Dewars stock went up 5% the minute he walked in the saloon door.
Actually, I heard about this as the lead of a regular radio news break.
A darn near spot on description of Teddy!
They must have been testing it on him for decades!!!

He was drinking a little bit, said the woman, who works at the Hawk & Dove and would not give her name.
Next revision of his tale, It was ODouls.
No doubt we'll see the same media feeding frenzy and intense investigative journalism into Kennedy's use of prescription drugs that we saw when Rush Limbaugh was accused of doctor shopping. And no doubt the press will insist that the doctor has no presumptive right to confidentiality, so Kennedy's records will be made public.
And then we'll go down to the river and watch the submarine races ...
Phenergan would be my drug of choice if I decided to become an addict. My dentist always prescribes it before I have anything significant done. It's takes me to a very happy place.
I wouldn't try driving when I was under the influence of it, however.
"He was drinking a little bit,
LOL! What's a "little bit" for a Kennedy? Couple of fifths?
Who cares. He was driving impared and lied to the police.
If I did that, I would still be in jail.
You have your head turned in the wrong direction: it isn't God giving these Kennedys a chance again and again, and we can know this by their actions, serving the father of lies,a murderer from the start. Satan protects those who serve his agenda.

googling again:
"Gastroenteritis, or inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract, and causes fever, diarrhoea and/or vomiting.
Gastroenteritis usually is of acute onset, normally lasting less than 10 days and self-limiting.
Gastroenteritis is also known as the stomach bug
If the Gastroenteritis inflammation is limited to the stomach, the term gastritis is used, and if the small bowel alone is affected it is enteritis."
"Will his medical records be spread all over the internet, the way Rush Limbaugh's were?"
We both know the answer to that question...
Too bad. I read somewhere he's not only a known alchy, but also suffers "bipolar disorder". Nonethless, there he sits.... elected.
Weather it was booze (likely) or 'prescription' drugs, he was driving under the influence of a controlled substance and should be treated as such.
It never mentions any passengers. Usually, accidents give some indication whether another person was in the car or not. I'm betting there was.
"security cameras."
Good idea. How much you wanna bet though those tapes are "unavailable" by now...
According to FOXNews news scroll, Patrick has cancelled his second event scheduled for today. He must be very sick.
