You ar correct. I may not like waht is going on, but i am not ready to see a democrat takeover. Most republicans will show up at the polls because even though we havnt got much its better than the opposition.

I don't see much evidence of that around here. But then I go over to DU, and you'd think they'd be dancing in the streets over Bush's poll numbers, but they're in full moan mode, too.

You are still with the gop but lots of goprs aren't even going to go to the polls any more. They won't vote dem or republican. That's when the country's really going down the tubes - when both parties drive away the voters. It's happening already.

It seems that there is consensus above stating that Bush is doing "great on the WOT" but "lousy at home". I agree except that I would say that concerning the "WOT" Bush needs to instruct his generals to become more aggressive with the enemy. I say take the fight to them with more vigor and more brutality. That's what it will take to defeat these people. Our enemy only respects those who demonstrate strength and a certain amount of brutality. They perceive compassion and negotiation as weakness. About the illegal immigration problem in the U.S.; Bush has "really" got this wrong and I agree with the above that it will cost the Republicans big time at the next election if his present view prevails. I for one am thinking about "cutting off my nose to spite my face" and sit the next election out. Save your admonisments and associated crap for another poster, don't want to hear it because if you say it you don't get it.
