What's up with WalMart?

What's up with Walmart. I just came back from getting groceries there and when I got to up to the checkout area there was a large rack of caps on display and each one had a symbol of Mexico...flag, insignia, emblems etc... I was also entertained by a blaring PA system playing Tejano too, just like every Saturday morning that I go there to get groceries.
I guess that Walmart wanted to sell out Americans to make money on Cinco De Mayo celebrations...the one that Mexicans celebrate here in America with more gusto than the 4th of July.
I have come to the conclusion that we are way past a tipping point and that the Mexican invasion has been successful. Now all that they have to do is complete the victory by breeding themselves into absolute majority by having free babies using our tax dollars.

Perhaps they're doing it just to counter the other bad things that lefties have been using on them.
Perhaps they feel that if they DIDN'T, they might get sued again.
Everyone loves to sue the rich guys.

You'd never see this on ST Pat's Day, Christopher Columbus Day, or some other ethnic Holiday. People only do this when they can scam the Mexicans.

If Mexicans wanted to buy industrial electronics from you would you sell to them? If you knew Mexicans represented a good potential customer base to you, would you target advertizing toward them?
I'd rather see them spend money at the local Wal-Mart than send it to Mexico.

Retail business is at the mercy of the consumer. We should not shop where it conflicts with our political ideology. The NY Times is a great example of the consumer playing havoc with a companies stock value for these reasons.
If you do not shop there and others do the same, the company will eventually get the message from its stock holders and change will come.
Vote with your wallet. Companies take us for granted and seek new sources of revenue, such as the buying power of the illegals and their supporters.

If we could combine
WalMart with Natalee and
Frodo, we could rule . . .
To: DH
At my local WalMart, Home Depot and local chain grocery stores, all run "Blue Light" specials in Spanish. I contacted the managers (28 - 32 yrs old) and was told that they "needed to run them as so many shoppers didn't speak English" and they only desired to let those shoppers be informed as to what was on special as well.
When I complained that the Spanish language ones run before their English language ones I was told that was "just the way that they had been entered into their automated system and that there was no preference of language."

It's called Cinco de Mayo. You see the same thing on St. Paddy's day, or any other holiday. They market to the demand. On Cinco de Mayo, there is a demand for that product, and thus they sell it. It isn't about 'invasions' or illegal immigration, it is about supplying a demand. You don't hear complaints about all the Irish stuff on St. Paddy's day.

Also, I learned something interesting last night. My wife grew up in Brasil and advised that they celebrate Cinco de Mayo all over South America. It isn't just a Mexican (or Beer company driven American) holiday.

WEll, the Texas Rangers were Los Rangers last night.
I didn't mind it. I never thought anything about Cinco de Mayo celebrations untill all the demonstrations and border stuff.
But, there may have been some karma involved because they lost for the first time in six games.

I think your post says more about you being a racist mental midget than anything else.
Do you gripe about St. Patrick Day parades, merchandising, etc.
How about the the NBA, the NHL and Co's selling Canadian team merchandise.
What about capitalizing on the recent international baseball tournement.
How about selling merchandise with county logos related to World Cup events.
I guess you think everything with a British emblem or related to European heritages should be banned.
Yawn, I'm not impressed. In fact I'm amazed you don't realize how racist and pathetic your comment was.
Have a nice day

When I was back in Memphis, before leaving for Slovakia (Jan 05). I went by a Walmart out in the suburbs late at night. Half of the customers were Mexican. Ten years ago, I never saw a Mexican in Memphis.
I am sure they make a good customer base for Walmart.
I am happy to no longer be there.

"How does selling caps with Mexican insignia "sell out Americans"?
Excellent point. If America can be damaged by the selling of caps, then we might as give it all up. Is American damaged by the minute-by-minute selling of pizza or canole? Are you being less-than-patriotic every time you go to the Spaghetti Company? Or eat Chinese food? Or Sushi?
Or does it all fit with our American lifestyle?

St. Patrick's day is about celebrating the life of a Saint.
Cinco de Mayo is about Mexico's declared independence from Spain. An obscure holiday based on a short battle between Mexican and Spanish troops.
Does Mexico celebrate our 4th of July/Independence day?

my tinfoil hat conspiracy theory is that china is organizing the invasion of the US through wall mart, and bribing wall street to go along. Items that used to take months or years of savings are practically given away on pennies on the dollar, made by subsidized Chinese labor. So like a garage sale sign " 1 cent sale " in front of our house people come out of the woodwork in masses, and once they are in, demand that we offer refreshments, and when the lemonade and lampshades run out, they will start a riot .

Walmart is not supporting liberal causes, as Ben and Jerry's, or Starbucks, or a host of other leftist companies.

That is actually a myth, Cinco de Mayo isn't Mexican Independence Day (that is September 15th) Cinco de May is a celebration of when 4000 Mexican troops kicked the entire French Army out of Mexico (and subsequently, that led to them being kicked out of all of Central and South America as well as what would be the US Southwest)
America actually supported Mexico in this and helped arm the Mexican Army. This isn't why we celebrate Cinco de Mayo here though, we celebrate it because US Beer companies saw a great marketing option, but technically, this could be viewed as a US holiday as well as a Mexican holiday.

I don't care who they let in, you as a retail customer have the freedom to shop wherever you choose. If you do not like a store for any reason you don't have to shop there, political differences are but one valid reason.
