Is it the booze/drug thing that ages a person (a la Alec Baldwin)? That and the guilt of having a father who killed women(Mary Jo Kopechne), an uncle whose is famous for the bay of pigs fiasco, and a grandfather who was in "bed with Hitler" and as ambassador to the UK told Churchill that Chaimberlain was right, you must appease Hitler(of course, he was in bed with Hitler all along).
If I came from a family like that I would probably kill myself... which come to think of it is exactly what Patrick Kennedy is doing. People seem to think the family is cursed... I think that some of them have a conscious and deep down... just can't live with themselves so their "accidents" are really subconscious suicides.

No this story is phony. I am convinced that Kennedy made this story up to make people think he wasn't out drinking before the accident.

Maybe I'm thick, but does the article actually say what she tried to stop him from doing?
Did she try to stop him from driving while drugged? From driving while drunk? From going to the Capitol at 3am to "vote?" From going drinking in the first place?
Just says she tried to stop him. But stop him from what?
I'd also dearly love to hear what these police "supervisors" have to say about Kennedy's condition, UNDER OATH!

Ah making a run foe rehab. I bet he gets waves of sympathy, unlike Rush who to this day is made fun of by the Dums.

Kennedy was with a woman before he smashed his Mustang convertible into a barricade.....She tried to dissuade me from leaving the house, he told The Providence Journal. And she wishes she had done a better job dissuading me. Fourth version of his story: Patty was with a woman.
Now all the liberals are atwitter, breathing a collective sigh of relief.......really feeling the "tolerance and compassion." Visions of a Kennedy Wedding dance in their heads. AND a possible First Lady.
But Patty had better Hurry Up and Do Something. Drug rehab first.......then the liberals' will Draft Patty for President.

Is this article true? I just knew there was a woman involved and I've said it since I started reading the articles because there was not the slightest inkling that there was a passenger or anyone else involved for that matter.
Best guess, she was IN the car with him.

Just says she tried to stop him. But stop him from what? From making a complete international **s of himself.

Maybe I've missed something, but didn't he just confess to drinking when he didn't have to (yes, a lot of people including myself believe that he must have), but this would make it impossible for his supporters to say that he wasn't drinking....what difference does it make whether it was at a bar or a lady friend's house?
To: MinuteGal
I agree. It didn't say she didn't...only that she tried to dissuade him.
