Some enterprising congress critter will no doubt put forth legislation expanding the Real ID Act to require ID for federal voting.

I'd support it. Why should people not want their vote counted?
In the past, I'd have been reluctant, but with the democrats multiple voting (as in the people caught in 2004), the dead voting, and now all the illegals, I don't see where we could have a fair election otherwise.

Because California is mostly red, haven't you ever wondered how they always pull off the democrat elections?

I do know that the illegal alien vote, here in Orange County, cost B1 Bob the election (aided by a GOP sell out).

It is legal for LEGAL - GREEN CARD Holders - with PERMANENT RESIDENCE STATUS to vote in SOME local and State elections.....NOT ALL....with proof of residence and ID.

"Voting
One of the most important privileges of democracy in the United States of America is the right to participate in choosing elected officials through voting. As a Permanent Resident you can only vote in local and state elections that do not require you to be a US citizen. It is very important that you do not vote in national, state or local elections that require a voter to be a US citizen when you are not a US citizen. There are criminal penalties for voting when you are not a US citizen and it is a requirement for voting. You can be removed (deported) from the US if you vote in elections limited to US citizens."

If these people get their way, such that any visitor to the US should have the civil right to vote, then they might as well start handing out voter applications to all passengers of incoming flights at all the international terminals on US soil!

The absurdity of constitutional rights for every person on the planet whether they are citizen or not or wheather they adherer to the oath of allegiance to the constitution as a voter knows no bounds.

Wake up America, don't you realize that illegal aliens can vote to change the course of our country? Does anyone care?

There are quite a few here that don't think illegal immigrants is a key issue.

check this out , unbelievable:

In Chicago, Democratic campaign worker Howie Connum expressed frustration at his inability to get many of the protestors to register to vote. "These morons think that because they are here illegally and don't speak English that they shouldn't vote," said a fuming Connum. "I tell them that their votes are a way to safe guard their rights, but they have an overblown fear of getting caught. There's a basic lack of understanding about how the system works."

Even John Connally admitted in his book that he gathered illegal(not to be confused with illegal immigrants) for Lyndon Johnson.

Why would a voter object to keeping out votes that would make his own vote less meamingful?

So that Democrats can win elections?

Mr. Howie Connum is basically admitting to multiple felonies here.

Where's Fitzgerald when you need him?

This article is almost one year old. And it's PIMA County, not PRIMA County. Reason number 351 why NewsMax is not to be trusted.

"It's just another obstacle for voters to deal with," Eckerstrom griped. "The whole idea behind this thing is to suppress voter turnout."

Finally, a Democrat speak the truth, except he left out a word...

He said Proposition 200's "real intent" was to make it difficult for voters - especially those inclined to vote Democratic - to cast a ballot.

That's a strange statement from this jughead. I wish he'd been told to elaborate and tell us what he meant by it. To me, it means illegal aliens tend to vote for DemocRATS.

Lies never die. Especially really pathetic ones that Democrats depend upon.

"Any voter who gripes about having to show an ID to prevent bad votes doesn't deserve to vote."

I get mad if they don't.

It's still ridiculous. You can show a household bill for crying out loud, or the sample ballot they send you. You don't need a picture ID here. Of course, the illegals can get those down at DMV anyway.

When I lived in HB, I would regularly bring my passport when I went to vote. I would just open it and innocently ask if they wanted to see my ID and proof of citizenship. The older volunteers would just snicker and grin, the younger more 'progressive ones' would actually get all huffy with me.

I thought it was great fun and always started conversation going in the lines...heh heh heh.
