Kosovo in America
Accuracy In Media (AIM) ^ | 8 May 2006 | Cliff Kincaid

Posted on 05/08/2006 5:46:41 AM PDT by Doctor13

The outcome of this controversy is the survival of America as we know it.

Many Americans scoff at the idea that Mexican-rights activists might someday reclaim most of the Southwest United States as Mexican territory. It can't happen here, they say. But it is happening in Serbia, where the United Nations (with the assistance of the U.S.) is working to grant autonomy or even independence to Kosovo, a province of Serbia, on the grounds that it has an Albanian majority.

As a U.N. press release put it, "Independence and autonomy are among options that have been mentioned for the province, where Albanians outnumber Serbs and others by 9 to 1." Our media also highlight this fact.

Please, Kosovo is a religious conflict, while the vast majority of immigrants to America are Christian and just want to do make an what's considered an honest living doing honest work(i.e picking food, building buildings).

But it is people on the left and right who are fanning the flames.

To look at Mexico, Venezuela, Bolivia, Argentina, Chile...you would almost think there are people who can't handle their democracy.
Yet they demand to be served 180 proof democracy.

>Please, Kosovo is a religious conflict...

No it isn't. Kosovo is a case of slow-motion land theft and it is the basic precedent and prototype for turning Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, and California into Atzlan as the author notes. Religion doesn't mean anything to thieves and the Albanian Kosovars are basically thieves. They could be Budhists or Catholics and it wouldn't change anything.

Aside from all that, Kosovo is a major part of the problem we're presently having getting along with Russia since Russia is another slavic orthodox country like Serbia. Kosovo has belonged to Serbia since the early middle ages and should be returned to them.

JMO, atzlan is a "dream" of a few radical leftists and a "fear" of a few on the right.

IOW, a minor rhetorical skirmish that most people be they anglo or hispanic don't care about.

That may be true but they (the Mexican illegals) will be used by groups such as La Raza to promote reconquista.

The recent demonstrations, especially the first one, are proof that the illegal immigrant movement is not about becoming loyal Americans but about bringing Mexico to the U.S.....in other words, Reconquista. La Raza doesn't mince words they flat out state very plainly that Reconquista is their goal...and ol Tony Valdez in San Diego put a nice exclamation mark on that for everyone to see and hear.

You must either support Reconquista or you have your head buried very deep into the sand.

The only safe assumption is that the Atzlaners are serious.

Aside from that, the big problem I have with recent immigration is that it all comes from Mexico and the Mexican government acts like it feels it has some right to be in charge of our immigration policies, and the people who benefit from the cheap labor are freeloading on the rest of us who foot the bills for educating and caring for this human tidal wave from a country with a noble/serf model of society.

What the American people need to tell the fat cats is basically that we're willing to play this game on a level playing field but, if you're not willing to do that, we stop the game.

That means seal the border with Mexico air tight, set up a point of debarkation offshore or at Gitmo and let everybody in south/central America have even shots at it, and let the people who hire these "guest workers" pay the full cost and bear the full burdon, i.e. provide education for their kids, medical assistance, and the whole ball of wax.

Well gee has the thought ever occurred to you that of instead of pushing these people away into the arms of such groups as la raza by knee jerkingly calling people working hard at honest professions, "criminal invaders", that you reach out to them and agree and welcome them on such issues as taxes, education reform, pro-life, and anti-homosexual marriage.

BTW, I bet you the vast majority of parents would welcome English immersion, but the teacher unions block that because bi-lingual education fills their coffers.

But for some reason hardly a peep from you about the teachers unions keeping the kids stuck in the public school mire.

Face it, some people are just too stupid to see that Aztlan is following the Kosovo scenario to a "T"!

You don't have much respect for U.S. laws do you? You advocate that we simply ignore them....call immigration lawbreakers some cozy affectionate name instead of what they are....and then try to get them to become conservatives...the foundation of which is respect for the law.

So with your logic...we encourage lawbreaking by giving the illegals amnesty...punish those who go through all the expense and hassle of immigrating here legally....and then expect these "new americans" to respect the law.

Sounds like a great plan..../sarc

Huh, and Jesus, I guess to you, wasted his time on Earth.
