I can only pray he wont. But if consrvatives drop out, and the dems pile on hard, It will be hard for any anyone to stand firm. Can it happen? Yes!

Do I want to take that chance? Heck no!

President Bush is in trouble. The Republican majorities in both houses of Congress are in trouble.

So agreeing with this statement means you "hate" Bush?

"It won't take many bitterly dissappointed Republicans sitting out an election to put the dims back in the majority. "

I think you hit the nail on the head. All of those Broken Glass Republicans are dark, bitter and staying out of the glass this year.

You want the GOP to repent and serve Honest Abe for the rest of their days?

It worked out for the best in 1976 and 1992 though. The rejection of the politics of Nixon and Ford in 1976 opened the door to Reagan in 1980. The rejection of the globalist leanings of GHWB in 1992 led to the takeover of the House in 1994.

No, its just sort of odd that the GOP acts like it has a pair when they are in the minority and act like a bunch of patsies with 55 seats in the senate.

Even if they had 60 votes, do you really think it would make a difference. With people like McPain and Graham, it does not matter any more.

One thing I've noticed is that the Bushbots really get emotional.

On the contrary. Go back to the first post and reread. The hate is drummed up by the anti-Bushites. I'm just snapping those who've been brainwashed by the media back into reality.

If we don't support Republicans, exactly who do we support, Hmmmmmmm? Welllll? Who do YOU want everyone to vote for?

I do not always agree with my wife, but that doesn't mean that I hate her.

leaving the republicans to the tender mercies of the democrats would teach them once and for all the folly of screwing your supporters

I hear you ... and it's possible they would learn that leasson.

But I think it's just as likely the RINO post-mortem of the election would go like this:

"Iraq cost us too many moderate votes, and the border rhetoric from our conservative wing alienated too many Latinos."

No I dont.

But like I said, if you dont want to fight within, enjoy having nothing on the outside.

Their are no prizes fro 2nd place. You may think that conservatism is in the slow-lane now. With the Dems in charge, the car will be impounded.

Thats not scaring you, thats the cold hard truth.

Exactly. I think the President is a good man and has done some great things (judicially, especially) for the country.

That's where I am at these days.

"Speak up and crack down instead of cracking up!"
______________________________

That is exactly what is happening....cracking down by denying continued support until the GOP shapes up. Its that simple. Bushbots are simply enablers that allow the pubbie legislators to do whatever they want regardless of what their base wants....and without fear of any negative consequences.

The "crack up" is a Republican party that might as well be Democrat in the way it legislates. Bushbots are the ones that are supporting the crack up!

I don't love or hate any politician. I voted Libertaran because I believe in freedom and limited government.

They lose elections. Is that the plan? Losing?
Vote Republican in 2006. They've heard the message. Their life depends on it.

Crack down - don't crack up.

or are you Kerry worshipers in Conservative clothing?

Blow it out yer ear!

They're feeding you poison, and you think it's sugar.

Riiiiight, we have a majority in the Congress,(I like) the Senate and the president, and have not been able to accomplish squat. Real majority leaders, not!
