I could have swore I read somewhere that Farmer worked for the DNC or a Dem candidate in some capacity. I wrote to Farmer asking him and he never responded.

The reality is, Bush's latest drop in the polls is due directly to his stance on a guest worker program, as detailed by Byron York in his latest NRO column.

Let's get some more conservatives up to Congress and at the State level. You want choices other than MOONBAT or RINO? You have to start with the Dogcatcher and the School Board. The choices will be there if we only vote for the BEST person in EVERY election. Losing control of Congress helps the cause how? Let's work to add seats in the House and Senate. If you don't like your respective representative get a real challenge up for his next primary, but make sure he keeps the seat for now. How does a Rat in charge of any part of government further our Conservative goals?

Now let's look at real reality - not yours, but that of the polls. Bush is not up for re-election ever again. But the pubbies in the House are - and they are holding the line on illegal immigration and border security, while Bush meets with Dem Senators to try and get around them. But Bush's stance on a guest worker program is sandbagging the GOP.

So who is jeopardizing GOP gains here? Us critics of Bush over his guest worker proposal? Or Bush himself in his bullheaded determination to keep pushing for such?

IMO, if you really mean what you just said about holding on to Republican gains, you would immediately write a letter to the White House telling Bush to back off his guest worker proposal.

I guess with Gore or Kerry as prez, Hussein and the Taliban wouldn't be in power, Gaddhafy would still have ceased his wmd production, we'd still have tax cuts, and the Supreme Court and other federal judicial nominees would still be conservative. Rather than complain about legitimate gripes about what Bush has done, these "conservative" Bush-haters dismiss everything positive he's done.

And then 9/11 happened and we realized that Islamofascists wanted to come into our country and kill us by the thousands.

Yet the border remained open.

Rep. Steve King (R-IA) recently made a statement that illegal aliens are responsible for the deaths of 25 Americans every day - EVERY DAY! - as well as sexual crimes against 8 American children EVERY DAY. That adds up to over 8,000 Americans killed by illegal aliens EVERY YEAR and 3,000 American children having their innocence stolen. That comes to over 40,000 dead Americans and 15,000 damaged American children since President Bush took office.

Yes, the problem existed before President Bush took office. It has only grown worse while he's been in office and, just ask any Border Patrol agent, he's made the problem worse with all of his talk of amnesty and rewards for the border intruders.

The actual statistics from DHS/ICE which prove that President Bush has actually been worse at enforcing our borders and immigration laws than even Bill Clinton. Much worse. In fact, even in Clinton's worse year he had more worksite enforcements under his administration than during the ENTIRE Bush administration.

Given that it is Congress that approves appropriations, pretty amazing that the Republicans in Congress have made no effort to control spending.

For some inexplicable reason, GWB has refused to wield the executive's most powerful tool in determining the budgets: The Presidential Veto. For decades that's how presidents have pushed Congress to enact their spending plans, and for whatever reason GWB refuses to do so.

Heck, it's gotten to where a lot of people seem to forget the veto even exists. Reagan used the veto 78 times, mostly in order to restrain spending.
