Dean said that "one of the misconceptions about the Democratic Party is that we're godless and that we don't have any values."
The Vermont liberal is trying to change that.
Democratic Party Chairman Howard Dean told CBN News that his party has a lot in common with the evangelical community.
Dean wants evangelicals and other conservative Christians to know that Democrats have something to offer them.
"The truth is, we have an enormous amount in common with the Christian community, and particularly with the evangelical Christian community, Dean said.
But the Democrats record on hot political issues such as abortion, gay marriage, and separation of church and state don't match up with that of evangelicals...

Instead of "Howard Dean: Democrats Have Much in Common with Evangelicals"
Title should read.. "Democrats have much in common with dog poop".
Nice words. I'm not buying it, though because the Democrat Party's ACTIONS tell me differently!
It's not that they don't have ANY values.
They simply have evil ones.
95% of the democrat base call Evangelicals by the perjorative "fundie".
IF you want to see real hatred towards Evangelicals, read the DUmpster(i.e the democrat base)
Democrats really are godless. He's just blowing smoke!
The only thing they have in common: they are both mammals.
Preach, brother Howard, preach! Yeeeeaaaaargghh!
One big difference. Evangelicals believe in a Supreme Being.
Democrats Have Much in Common with Evangelicals = like oil and water.
I have to say bah humbug to that one.
Democrats worship at the altar of apostate secular humanism.
And what is that? More slogans? Mend it, don't end it? Abortion should be legal and rare?
Ah! So THAT explains what he was doing that night in Hew Hampshire (besides screaming):
Is that one of those Palestinian scarves?
I am a conservative Evangelical Bible Thumper.
The only thing Howie Dean and his Democrats have
to offer me is his resignation and their promise
to move to Europe.
"The truth is, we have an enormous amount in common with the Christian community, and particularly with the evangelical Christian community..."
Only if your point is that you're a minority.
The left believes that the public is really, really stupid. A big reason they believe this is that they think that "Madison Avenue" and "Big Business" lead the public around by the nose, manufacturing demand for products that people don't really want, hypnotizing them into zombie-like patterns of involuntary money spending. They think that, if it were not for the pernicious hold that "Big Business" has over people, we would all live simpler, thriftier, more natural lives. They think they are the only ones who know this; that the average man and woman walking around are only dupes, tricked into believing the illusion that they posess free will.
Therefore, they believe, they can tell lies that a teenager could see through, and enough people will believe them that it will make a difference.
What they seem unable to accept is this: that, although there are some people who fit that description, this segment of the population already votes Democratic.
They the easily-manipulated ones are on the Right. Who remembers that op-ed piece in the Washington Post a few years ago in which the author opined that conservatives were prone to an irrational belief in G-d and were "easily led." Rush has spoken of it a number of times on his show.
Crazy Howie is just taking this view to heart. He really believes that if he just pays superficial homage to Christians and Christian evangelicals, they'll just nod their heads up and down and troop off to the polls this November to vote the Dems into a majority of the House of Representatives.
I recall an article about Dean promptly apologizing to some gay rights groups, saying that he didn't really mean what he actually said in that article.
Well, let's see. They're both members of the human race. Uhhhhhh . . . . nope. Nothing else.
Mr.Doublespeak tries to appease the masses. However, he forgot evangelicals can see thru his hypocrisy.
what a whore.
Is that what the freak is talking about?
Uh, they both are sources of "greenhouse" gases?
Straight from the pit.
The Demoncrats have much in common with evangelicals?
Is this around election time when they go to evangelical churches to pander for their votes?

there goes Dean smokin' that crack again...
What a lying bastard.
Are you claiming that the Democrats don't believe in Hillary Clinton?
Dem's may have something in common with some evangelical TV preachers; Beg for money while wearing diamonds and tell the masses that they aren't giving enough.
Forgive me. I stand chastened and rebuked.
WTF ?! Why is he dancing with a Muslim headscarf around his neck ?!
From the man who left his church over a bike path.
Dean only has common ground with those churches affiliated with the National and World Council of churches. And he knows that.
"... his party has a lot in common with the evangelical community."
Like what, for example? Most Dems have very little in common with evangelical Christians. For one thing, most Dems don't really believe the Bible or the Gospel. They believe the parts they like and toss the rest.
Hey, Howie, how many millions of babies are dead today because of Democrat values? Once you've fought for the privilege of killing God's children, it's hard to see your values as any different that the godless Nazis and Communists in other countries.
Howard Dean has about as much credibility talking about the Evangelicals as Jeffery Dhalmer would as a spokesman for A-1 Steak Sauce.
Howard believes in a supreme being...himself!
Oh, they believe in a supreme being as well. It happens to be themselves.
Hat tip to : Knitting A Conundrum
I haven't laughed this hard in days reading this. Dean is really demented, isn't he? I mean, there's no doubt now.
On the contrary, they are godless but do have values:
abortion, appeasement, amoralism, and anti-capitalism
are all deeply held values of the base and leadership of the Democrat party.
Just one of the reasons I am now, happily, a
