May 12, 2006 -- WASHINGTON - Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton lashed out at the instant-gratification generation yesterday, saying young adults "think work is a four-letter word."
"Kids, for whatever reason, think they're entitled to go right to the top with $50,000 or $75,000 jobs when they have not done anything to earn their way up," the Dems' 2008 White House front-runner said.
"A lot of kids don't know what work is. They think work is a four-letter word," she told a Republican-leaning audience gathered at the annual U.S. Chamber of Commerce convention.
"We've got to send a different message to our young people. America didn't happen by accident. A lot of people worked really hard. They've got to do their part, too."

You're right, but that's only for the peons. Queen Hillary's daughter is entitled to a job that carries a six-figure salary after getting a worthless degree in history. Chelsea worked really hard, "earning" that degree because Stanford U gave her class credit for vacationing in Australiea, shopping for shoes in Europe, and hitting the French shopping districts.
"Well, Chelsea is an exceptionally bright, hardworking, beau-, prett- ummmm... ummmm..... talented- ummmm... Mind your own damn business!"
And that is her justification for IMPORTING 20 million cheap wage "workers".

I don't remember reading about Chelsea holding intern jobs at companies to get some experience in the workforce - But I do remember her partying her butt off with that boyfriend of hers and getting her plastic surgery on her face.

Hilllary is dead wrong on this. All the kids I know that are graduating college or grad school are working their asses off, long hours, plenty of dedication. Her remarks are more appropriate for some of the flower children of her own generation. Her remarks are even more appropriate for some of the children who grew up on the entitlement system so beloved by Democrats, the people who are accustomed to thinking that the government will be responsible for their lives and their welfare. It is the Democrat Party that works so hard to make young people think that self esteem is something one gets by doing nothing, since self esteem is handed out by higher authority.
Hillary can't help it. She manages to offend everyone. Now she's blasting the young voters she'll be depending on to vote for her. Smartest woman in the world, my @ss.
I guess it depends on the area of the country you are in. Hillary is probably trying to relate to us little people in the heartland.
