Was it not her choice to remain silent? In any case, it was not up to a mealy-mouthed politician to "out her" in order to get a tawdry advantage.

Did the liberal press find another lesbian they could hate as bad as Tammy Bruce? You're a target now Mary. Please try to remember who put the bullseye on you.

I don't know. If I were gay and in a relationship, why not give power of attorney to my lover, leave a will and make sure all items are in order at my time of death. Oh, and of course, if sperm donor children are involved, the same thing. Now, what rights other than property rights upon marriage between a man and a woman have I missed. Oh, please don't through health benefits into the whole mess. You barely save anything married or single from company 'group' benefits anyway.

Much as I hate the left, most media people are something even worse. Oh they are liberals and leftists alright, but mostly they are hacks devoted to the democrat party.
Which means they have no principles, just partisan agenda and they will screw you and the country to get a political advantage. In short, they are exactly what they constantly accuse republicans of being - partisan.

But is that number growing or shrinking? I guess on the West coast and East coast it gets a lot of play...but everywhere else...I don't know. Here in Texas the Amendment to the Constitution defining marriage as that between a man and a woman only saw opposition from one county...and weak opposition at that.

OK, you're basically talking about rights associated with marriage, which some companies provide anyway through domestic partner benefits. So that's really one thing. To say "a fraction of the rights"? A little over the top.

For me, if a person is right about something, then they are right about that one thing. If they are wrong about something else, then they are wrong about that.
I appreciate Tammy's support on the issues that we agree about, and will oppose her on those that I don't. Liberals are the one for whom "politics is personal"

I think we're agree to agree. All the b*tching about "all we want is equal rights" is ridiculous. They can have everything they want legally if they pursue correctly. I'm just over this hysterical mantra from the gay community. Get over yourselves and your sexual preferences. Most of us don't care. It's your life and your destiny.
Stay our of my life and I'll stay out of yours.

No, you misunderstand me. I do not approve of homosexuality, although I don't care what people do privately. That's not right, either. I do care, but it's none of my business. They can take it up with God.
But, if a person is a lesbian, and still supports some conservative positions, then I welcome their support on those issues. That does not mean that I will support them on issues I disagree with.
An example from the other side, Evangelical Christians are the stoutest supporters of Israel outside the Jewish community, and far stouter than many in it. Some liberal Jewish leaders have begun to recognize that lately. And some have spoken out. "Accept the evangelical support for Israel, but do not give up your liberal Jewish positions", they say.
Call it an alliance of convenience. When Tammy is on my side of an issue, fine. When she is not, I oppose her.
