Round them up and send them home!
Fine the employeers $5,000 per illegal they get caught hiring.
Seal the border.

Another poll shows support for the House's tough and very sensible immigration legislation, HR 4437:

...69 percent said it was a good or very good idea when told it tries to make illegals go home by fortifying the border, forcing employer verification, and encouraging greater cooperation with local law enforcement while not increasing legal immigration; 27 percent said it was a bad or very bad idea.

The CIS poll, taken by Zogby International, is the ONLY poll that shows support for deportation without increasing legal immigration. It is a flawed poll, sponsored by an organization that is opposed to ALL immigration.

CIS got the result it wanted.

It is time for the U.S. to criminalize illegal immigration as a felony offense.

Even the House is now opposed to this.

Lets hear what the Presidant has to say Monday before shooting off with con job and all that crud.

This article had everything in but calling the President El.. or Jor...

Let us be clear of mind, the rhetoric is blinding and not constructive.

It's not immigration, it's migration. The indigenous peoples of this continent do not recognize borders invented by white Europeans. They are simply reclaiming their lands. That is the argument on the other side.

Its all about votes. Amnesty might make sense if we enforced our laws and it was found wanting. The truth is we have never tried to enforce our laws and so amnesty is unwarranted. Its a shame our politicians can't seem to make the connection here.

"There are at least 12 million illegal immigrants in the U.S., and 10,000 pouring into our nation every day. One study predicts there will be 5 million more Latin American immigrants in the U.S. by 2015, while another prognosticates that illegals will push the American population to 1/2 billion people by 2050.

10,000 breaking into this Nation DAILY!!!!!

"And it looks like the Republican-controlled Senate is on the verge of betraying the American people by planning to push through legislation which will implement Bush's disastrous proposals. If the Republicans are looking to retain the Senate in the 2006 elections, they may just be shooting themselves in their collective feet......."

"Are we to sit by idly while illegal immigrants openly march through our streets, trying to intimidate our policy makers, defame our flag, and rewrite our national anthem? Complacency will lead to the end of our prosperity and democracy........"

OH common now, WE haven't been sitting by idly....after all, we have been phoning, faxing, e-mailing....right?
/sarcasm off.

We are far too conservative for our own collective good.

"while another prognosticates that illegals will push the American population to 1/2 billion people by 2050"

When i read stuff like this, I know that its a pure propaganda piece. As I have stated before Latino and Hispanic birth rates are falling at alarming areas. In fact by 2050 the Median age in Mexico will be higher than the USA if current rends continue. The Islamic World is multiplying quicker than anything while the west birthrates are in rapid decline.

Felony? Give me a break. I wish people would be consistent on this. I was told that the felony provision was a poison pill put in the bill in hopes of killing it by the Dems. Do people support that principle or not?

Compromise folks. Thats how this Gov. The author of this article says that Bush is trying to "con" people monday night. Con? Bush has a viewpoint and he is attempting to reach out. I thought many people wanted the National Guard on the border? This is a dangerous game people are playing. Conservatives largely brought this issue to the forefront. However, on this issue all compromise is forbidden. The most likely result is that the Status quo will continue unless there is a little bending on the House side. However if enough Dems break to The Senate Bill it might pass , regardless of far right conservative opposition. It would be unfortunate if some common sense proposals and views of Conservatives were not in the final version because Conservatives are playing a high stakes games of political chicken.

If Bush doesn't shape up, Repubs will stay home in November, a Dem House will impeach Bush in 2007, and the circus will REALLY come to town.

We need to make it very painful for employers who hire illegals.

This is key-rather than call Bush, Jorge, and trash him without hearing his updated proposal (It must be updated, or else he wouldnt be having a primetime Oval Office speech)going after the industries that bring them in would be a good start. The city I live in hired a contractor for a bikepath that hired illegals to do the landscaping. My phone conversation with the guy who accepts bid proposals for city work did not go well. He actually said the bids from legal landscapers werent, and I quote, "cost effective"..

We should enforce the laws currently on the books including this one in U. S. Code 1325:

Any alien who
(1) enters or attempts to enter the United States at any time or place other than as designated by immigration officers, or
(2) eludes examination or inspection by immigration officers, or
(3) attempts to enter or obtains entry to the United States by a willfully false or misleading representation or the willful concealment of a material fact, shall, for the first commission of any such offense, be fined under title 18 or imprisoned not more than 6 months, or both, and, for a subsequent commission of any such offense, be fined under title 18, or imprisoned not more than 2 years, or both.

No intelligent man could be as out of touch as this president is. He has a civil war brewing and he doesn't seem to be aware of it.

Not much need to read any further. Anyone who believes this crock of bull is an idiot.

This writer completely ignored what the House might do and seemed to imply it's a done deal. They might roll over and let the Senate scamnesty through but I doubt it. At the very least you'll never see the type of full blown liberal giveaway Frist and Reid are attempting.
