I think that her not being allowed diversion is extremely extraordinary treatment for the normal citizen in this state," Grubbs said. "She has no criminal record. First offenders (charged with non-violent crimes) always get diversion."Too bad, murderer..

I think the kids got off easy.
"Later, she sent out an email to the students involved encouraging them to resist talking to the police and making it difficult for authorities to find them to question them about the vandalism. In the email, Jacobsen attacked pro-life groups. "
Lets see, obstruction of justice would seem to be just the starter. Ample reason to not let this first time offender off easy. Only problem is she shouldn't be allowed to retire, she should be fired.

Michelle Cruey, 21, of Walton, Ky.; Katie Nelson, 21, and Heather Nelson, 27, both of Dayton, Ky.; Stephanie Horton, 23, of Alexandria, Ky.; Sara Keebler, 25, of Cincinnati, and Laura Caster, 23, of Highland Heights, Ky. Awfully nice of the paper to post the names of the sluts on campus.

Obstruction of justice is the second crime she is has committed. Jail time seems to me to be a must.
She was the responsible adult here so she should be punished even more than the young people.

The young people are adults as well.
However the ringleader, planner and instigator misused her position of authority to induce others to a crime.

"Grubbs said. "She has no criminal record. First offenders (charged with non-violent crimes) always get diversion."While I'd never doubt the word of a lawyer (ahem), if this is true, it's too bad for Ken Lay that he didn't move Enron Headquarters to KY. He wouldn't be facing jail time

I can think of a few more. Let's see we've got felony vandalism, mob action, obstruction of justice, conspiracy to commit, and aiding and abetting.
I'm sure a motivated prosecutor could think of a few more.

I think the kids got off easy.I agree, 27, 25, 23, these are not "kids" they are young adults. Sometimes you learn who to trust through a little pain.

Later, she sent out an email to the students involved encouraging them to resist talking to the police and making it difficult for authorities to find them to question them about the vandalism. In the email, Jacobsen attacked pro-life groups. That's called obstructing justice and more than ample reason not to extend the community service offer.
