I searched but did not see a thread already open for tonights speech. I think this is the most important speech the President will probably make for the remainder of his term.
Mod Note:
This could turn into a whack-a-troll thread. All immigration trolls that would like to participate should post here. It'll be interesting to see if we mods can whack the trolls faster than they can sign up new accounts.

You are probably correct but I don't expect the President to lay out any new or different policy tonight.
He will most likely reiterate what he has said before on the matter.

We'll see how this speech goes.
Not only do Americans want the National Guard on the border...We want them to DO something if they're sent.
Its not enough to just send them down there..once they're there..they have a job to do.

I fear it will be a lame, half-hearted attempt at promising to tighten the borders (meaning we tell Mexico where we have no patrols), and promising Amnesty for those who are here illegally.
