(Bridgeport-AP, May 16, 2006 2:16 PM) _ A 30-year-old illegal immigrant from Guatemala is charged with manslaughter in the stabbing death of a man who allegedly tried to rob him.
Armando Villeda is charged in the death of 29-year-old Jose Osorio.
Osario was found stabbed to death Saturday night on a porch across the street from Villeda's apartment. Villeda told police he was asleep in bed Saturday night when Osorio and another man broke in and tried to rob him.
Bridgeport police Lieutenant James Viadero said Villeda showed signs of a beating and was treated at the hospital.
He said it appears that Osorio's death, in Viadero's words, "might have been justifiable."
Villeda's roommate, who suffered a broken arm in the fall, reportedly corroborated the story.

If he was I fail to see how this affects Americans one way or the other.

If the dead guy was robbing him then one less criminal. That's a good thing for America.

this is a complete bs charge! self defense and the right to life is a natural law right that that goes back to the dawn of time. Legal or illegal alien on any country on earth you have the absolute right endowed by your creator to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness and if he does get deported i hope to god hes deported back to Mexico as a multi millionaire after suing the cops and prosecutors over this. If anyone in that city is murdered because they refuse to defend themselves out of fear of going to jail becuase of this case I hope to God the victims familys move out of the city and self deport themselves to beverly hills as multi millionairs after suing the prosecutor for wrongful death

Well, I just found out today that the
current law in NH says you must retreat unless you are being raped, killed, or kindapped. Since none of the above was occuring this man who defended himself must be a criminal. /s

The dead guy was found across the street. If the illegal followed him and killed him there he committed a crime in every state in the nation. You can only use deadly force to stop an attack in progress. You can't go on the offensive after the guy retreats, chase him down and kill him.
If the illegal wounded the attacker and the attacker fled and died across the street the charge will be dropped after the investigation. But illegals dont have more rights than everyone else. (Wait, they do, but not in this case) Under the circumstances described above anyone would be charged and the crime investigated further.
If the illegal was justified in killing the attacker, he should be deported when the charge is dropped. If he killed the attacker illegally, he should go to jail first and be deported when his sentence is served.
