It's nice to see a possible split in the Dems. Steele will probably be a welcome change from Sawbones.

Frizzell Gray is the name on his birth certificate, apparently.

Ain't no brain surgery, all he has to do is get all his illegitimate children to vote for him and he can't lose.

The Dems in MD have run the state for a long time. The party machine picks the candidates. Uppity people (Black or white) who try to challenge the party pick are usually dismissed real fast.
Blacks never figured in the equation until Michael Steele became Lt Gov. Now that position is a Black one. If Steele should win the Senate seat, then maybe the Dems would allow a Black to run for that position, but I wouldn't count on it.

The MD Dem legislature has passed several laws that make voter fraud easier (no id checks; unlimited absentee ballots; early voting in some (Dem) precincts), and that should guarantee a Dem sweep of all elected offices.

Voting in MD is like wishing on a star. It probably doesn't matter. Cardin is the anointed. Steele might be a spoiler. But only *might be*.
