The impact on welfare, housing and medical (all gubbermint provided) will be humongous.

Amnesty is the poison pill - the Senate will keep adding benefits until no one can resist.

At this point, no bill is better than ANY bill that has a legalization provision.

I'd rather give up on employer sanctions, border wall, repatriation, etc ie preserve the status quo, than to cave on amnesty.

I basically agree with you. The only problem is this is exactly what GW has been doing the least 5 years. Leaving the border wide open to create a fair accompli, a situation where it would be "impossible, inhumane to deport 12 million". Actually a lie since it's more like 20 million illegal alien invaders and we can make them self-deport via employer sanctions. Which GW has purposely not enforced since he was first elected
