My plan..........

Here's a plan even the Democrats will love.......... Millions of people are trying to get into this country.

Let's make some big bucks on that fact.

First....set a number of legal immigrants each year...say 1,2 or 3 million.

Second....run a lottery that's open to the whole world.....criminals not eligible......

Each chance will cost $1000 and the drawing will occur every 3 months.

Potential immigrants can submit as many chances as they want....so the richer people with education and higher skills have an advantage.

I'd be conservative if I said the government would make several $billions each year.....

money that could be invested in tighter border security, more guards or fences.

This would work if illegal entry was punishable in every instance with a severe fine and or instant deportation.

Children born to illegals while on American soil would not become instant citizens...

This plan would be much fairer than allowing a disproportionate number of Mexicans to cross the border.

It would take some backbone but it would send a clear message to the entire world that a life in America is a privilege.

The alternative will mean civil war.

When the economy cycles into the next recession, Mexicans and Anglos will be literally fighting hand to hand for the few available jobs!

This is a good start.

Let's get control of the borders and then decide how to handle those who are already here.

Sorry, the rhetoric won't play in Peoria anymore, Durbin...not since the criminal invaders have been prancing in the streets in our faces. In fact, looks like most of the country is becoming "right wing" on this issue.

Sensenbrenner and the patriotic Republican Congressmen should call Pelosi and make a deal to impeach Bush for dereliction of duty. You know she'll jump at the chance and between them they could really make some waves. Even if they couldn't pull it off it would probably sidetrack and maybe even cripple the amnesty bill and send a loud and clear message that not even Sr. Arbusto would fail to understand.

It's amazing to hear what these nitwits are saying. They're supposed to be representing US, not Mexico. They must be getting some bit $$$ from the open borders/slave labor advocates to turn their backs on the existing laws.

Sensenbrenner speaks for the majority of America. Lawbreakers should not be rewarded with anything, least of all a chance at citizenship.

President Bush has failed us miserably, and has encouraged the next 10 million to come by advocating amnesty (no matter what he calls it).

No more votes for open borders politicians, no matter which party they claim to represent!
