On CBSs "The Early Show" this morning, co-host Harry Smith reported from Baghdad.
However, unlike Dave Price, the "Early Show weatherman who reported on high morale and security progress in Iraq--
Smith focused on the negative, and even complained that the security situation is so bad that he couldnt go out and get ice cream.
Harry Smith: "Now the one other example I can give you of what the security situation is like here, just around our hotel, it's very, very secure.
But when I asked our folks if I could go down to the corner and out of the secure zone to get an ice cream last night they said it's a risk just simply not worth taking.
Hannah."

There are many cities in the US where going out for ice cream at night in certain parts of town wouldn't be recommended. What's Harry's point? But, we already know his "point". He's the MSM!

I wonder if Mr. Smith is aware there are cities in the United States where the MURDER rate per 100,000 population is HIGHER than the violent death rate in Iraq --- INCLUDING the war dead....
I'll bet the farm, that Mr. Smith would never mention how dangerous it was to go into the "minority" sections of Pre-Katrina New Orleans, Washington, D.C., Detroit, Baltimore, Atlanta, etc, etc...to buy his damned ice cream...or the crack his must be smoking.
He's another agenda driven, biased bastard...

Mr. Smith is playing politican.
He would say anything, so long as it is anti-Bush.
Smith never mention the murder rates in these big, "blue" cities as the truth would Democrat politicans.

Can we imagine Harry telling us that the NRA is correct ?
That we should be ready to defend ourselves, defend our families, and defend our homes .

Perhaps the presstitutes would take notice and really raise hell, if America required all MUSLIMS to wear identifying insignia visible to all....
Clearly, the ideology and practices of pious Muslims have led to more deaths and pedophilia that the relatively few American sex offenders the law requires registration and/or ankle GPS devices.....

Yes, we can. And we don't need to imagine we should be ready to defend ourselves, defend our families, and defend our homes against despots like Murtha, Hillary, and Saddam.
Ooops. Cross Saddam off that list.

Talking to yourself? ; )
Why isn't he talking about not being able to get ice cream in the school cafeteria because kids were getting too fat to ward off pedophillic teachers? ; )

Ah! But neither the government or the dictator in power PREVENTED Harry from getting ice cream. He made is own decision on that.

They should have let him and his "crew" go for ice cream. Maybe he would have been given a real experience as to what is going on instead of hiding behind the miliary to bring us his "reports".
Maybe a life-changing event would change his perception.

Excellent point. He'll listen to those who know in Iraq but criticize them when he's safe in the US.

Crossing
Saddam off that list.

Maybe a life-changing event would change his perception. Precisely. As they say, "A liberal is a conservative who hasn't been mugged yet".
To: VeniVidiVici
" He made is own decision on that..."
Harry wants to blame someone else...like Bush.
Harry does not believe in personal responsibility for his own decisions.

LOL!!!! I have morning whistling constests with the birds (over coffee), I've been eating lunch everyday for the last week with a squirrel who comes to sit with me and have been watching daughter develop some beautiful 'nurturing' skills with her kitty's three new little kittens. The garden flowers are beautiful and I actually got tomato plants in this year so everyone is watching them in anticipation. Spring is bursting with hope, isn't it!
