Truthout issues a "partial apology" on the Rove story

Mark Ash at Truthout's Blog has issued a "partial apology" (his words) for the Rove story. His excuse?

While we paid very careful attention to the sourcing on this story, we erred in getting too far out in front of the news-cycle. In moving as quickly as we did, we caused more confusion than clarity

So he apologized without actually being sorry for anything. Maybe he thinks a partial apology will get them partial credibility...

Did they all learn this 'double-speak' from Clinton?

Oh how creative, NOT! "Too far out in front of the news-cycle" meaning if nothing happens then all is forgotten but if something does they got the scoop first. Way to cover the bases.

Don't you know, it's George Bush's fault

...but I'm concerned about our movement performing due diligence and being the ones who don't overreact to rumors sprinkled about the blogosphere. We do ourselves more favours when we're careful about the leads we chase.

Granted I'll give you that
however, we're living in a different time now one like we've never known before. The desparation and anxiety that has been created by this administration has generated such a sense of expediency to rid ourselves of this evil possibly there were hasty decisions made. We should use this as an unifying opportunity and turn it into an advantage.

The desparation and anxiety that has been created ...

Which is why a Democrat defeat this November, followed by another defeat in 2008 will be the nail in the coffin of the Democratic Party.

See my tagline.

CLinton Double-Speak!!That's just modern "journalism". None of that old-fashioned "who, what, why where, when and how"garbage.

Mark Ash is certainly piling it higher and deeper these days (Ph.D.) Sounds like horse manure, smells like horse manure. So Mark's writing sounds like a big pile of it.

The only good news is that dogs really love the smell of that stuff.

Maybe he is trying to emulate DAN BROWN since DAN knows how to produce piles and piles of the BROWN STUFF...

Is that like a non-denial denial that Woodward and Bernstien like to use bake in their salad days?

The time has now come, however, to issue a partial apology to our readership for this story.

As this line points out, the "partial" apology is only to his "readership".

Jason L said he would reveal his sources if the story did not materialize. Truthout needs to demand Jason reveal his sources, or ban Jason completely. I don't expect either (of course, I don't ever go visit this site, but I hear that Ash has been banning any conservative posters).

Oh sheesh, those 'TO' bots are worse than DUers.

I don't know what's worse than a raving moonbat, but they are it. The posts of support border on the insane.

Even the Washington Post publically calls him a liar and a druggie here:
