NASCAR REALLY needs to adopt this side by side for commercials.I usually record the day races and play them back at night - fast-forwarding thru the commercials is GREAT!

not a big fan of this new ABC race announcer...
my how the coverage of this event has changed...
I was so excited about this race I watched a lot of ESPN's Classic Indy Marathon yesterday...remember the '82 Mears/Johncock classic...also remember it was shown on tape delay back then, as ABC used to show it...

As a Hoosier, I have know a few of the racers. I had a neighbor who raced in nascar and he was killed. My kids have been friends with some of the Andrettis. I like the excitement of the race but I don't really care who wins. My main concern is the safety of the drivers.

I could do it in ONE!
Meira and Schecter moving up, Castroneves moving back.

I was so excited about this race I watched a lot of ESPN's Classic Indy Marathon yesterday...remember the '82 Mears/Johncock classic...also remember it was shown on tape delay back then, as ABC used to show it... It's so funny, but, many years ago, when I was about 5, I sued to go next door and watch two guys working on their race car. Turns out, one of them was Gordon Johncock. My mom stopped in one time to make sure I wasn't bothering them, but I just sat off to the side and watched them. Then, some 20 odd years later I ran into Gordon Johncock at a bar, and went over to talk to him and re-introduced myself to him. He is really a very nice man. :)

IRL has had this side by side commercial thing for a couple years.

That was a spectacular shot of Kunnan threading the needle at 218 mph.

Gonna be a culture shock to switch from the pate and corvoisier to ribs and beer in a couple hours, eh?

Three wide rarely works in Nascar. Glad they kept it short and sweet.
