It's a common mistake. The egg of the Great Northern Chupacabra is often misidentified as an ostrich egg.

Its certainly an ostrich egg size, color, and pitted appearance are just right, Garrett said. I dont have a clue what it was doing in the Michigan woods. Rotting.
