Blackfive already has a good start on this and Protein Wisdom is all over it as well, but any help Freepers can give in outing this wannabe would be much appreciated.
Aren't there embedded reporters on the ground? What have they reported?
I'm a Navy guy and was laughing at this guy's picture. Beret folded in the wrong direction, wrong roll on the sleeves, it goes on and on. This guy better hope he doesn't run into a real Ranger, or a real Ranger's mother. He will get his butt kicked.
Most likely has a problem with (rump) rangers running into him!
Love it!
The good folks at ArmyRanger.com are looking at him. He is claiming more qualification badges and awards than most soldiers with far more rank. The dead giveaway is his beret. I have no idea what flash is on the beret, but it isn't the Ranger Regimental flash. Also, no Ranger would wear such a fu&%ed up looking beret.

And that's all I have to say about that.
Or, for that matter, a real Ranger's kid sister. :=)
PeeWee Herman here wouldn't even make it as a park ranger.
u sure that flash isnt the logo for the "Shell" (looks like a yellow clam) gas station that this puke works at?

Here is an interesting spin... The above is from the Christian Science Monitor. If you look at the story that includes the references photo and other similar ones - the captions do not include this meatball's identity... BUT if you search the archives or cached pages (through Google for instance) guess what??? Same stary and pics, but with his name clearly listed in the captions.
Things that make you go... Hmmmmmm.
I call BS on this. Beret is worn completely wrong, no unit insignia, overall uniform wear looks like crap. I also did a search for him on the AKO white pages, he doesn't exist (could have been in and is currently completely discharged, or what I think-was never in).
Geez.....can't wait to show this to my husband...he's going to be p*ssed.
I see Rangers almost everyday. This guy isn't even in the same phsyique range........
The DUmmies were loving this guy. They wanted to make him the next Cindy Sheehan!
Isn't there some list or roster or something that could verify this guy's claim? I just can't believe that this pos(eur) could be a Ranger..........
I walked out of a pre-negotiated car deal at couple years ago at the signing because the salesman started on some long BS tale of his time in the military. Why these people think they can lie to a guy who is actually in the military is beyond me.
I run into that a lot. People start telling "war stories" and I tell them I did 22 years in the Army. They change the subject real quick. I have no problem with people who do not go into the military. The military is not for everyone. I just have a problem with those who claim they were in and use it for some kind of advantage or gain credibility. Lots of callers to talk radio lately are claiming to be veterans. After two or three minutes of listening to them, I can tell the closet they ever got to the military and combat was at the theater. I love the way they all say they were "recon ranger snipers." Reminds me of Eddie Murphy in Trading Places. LOL!
Bump
But I DID sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last night... LOL (salute)
Well for one thing his uniforms are way out of date, and he's got his sleeves rolled up the way a Marine would, not Army.

He claims the CAB (awarded twice) and the CIB. The CAB is for soldiers in support MOS/units, CIB is for Infantry. He is a complete fraud-can he be prosecuted-I hope so.
People that create such shams should seek help.
Like I said, too many things wrong for me to list. Some of the commenters on other threads have pointed out long lists of problems with this guy's story and appearance. Lefties are credulous saps so long as some POS supports their position.
ROFL.
Dollars to donuts he lives off-shore...Germany, maybe?
Unless I missed a location in the video.
Hmmm.
If that guy is a Ranger I'm the reincarnation of Eddie Rickenbacker.
Just his stutter would disqualify him. Just imagine calling for fire support.
He is going to school at Arizona State, I think.
Yep and his ribbons don't include any theater awards or even the GWOT expeditionary medal. He's not a convincing fake, but lefites don't care as long as he is carrying their water.
I saw that he was supposedly at a protest in Tempe but no real indication of his residency.
I tried to acces that link. I had to play with it some so that the ASU Web Devil opened. It's a "register for access" e-zine.
Is there a BugMeNot for this pub?
Another thought is that it was filmed off-shore by that Dharji (sp?) goofball - a non US pubisher.
CW3, AVN Retired. (If I was still in, they couldn't call me "chief" anymore. It's now politically incorrect.)
In addition to the Beret being worn the wrong way, Rangers DO NOT roll their sleeves, and even if they did, they way that guy has them rolled is the way the Marines and Navy roll their sleeves.
This guy is a total Fraud.
One of the sites I listed had a link to the ASU paper so I figured he was a student (also there is something about him being involved in a coffee house protest, which sounds typical of college students). Hopefully he will be outed soon. Remember that Pat Tillman went to ASU, so I hope that if he is a student the administration takes a dim view of his behavior.
Well, he claims that he took part in the assault on Fallujah:
What was the assault on Fallujah like?Fallujah is where we slaughtered people in mosques. We provoked the people there. Some people escaped from the mosques and saw us. We would dig holes and leave mass graves of children, women, and old men. We were ordered to let people die on the street. We were told that the Geneva Convention means nothing to us in combat.
We were ordered to fire on peaceful protesters in Fallujah. Somebody threw a rock at us, and an officer said that he thought it was a grenade. Then we were ordered to fire. When it's daylight in Iraq, it's daylight! Nobody really thought it was a grenade.
The first battle for Fallujah got underway in the beginning of April, 2004, only to be cut short by a ceasefire around April 11, 2004.
Yet on April 12, 2004, he was in Arizona protesting Coffee Plantation.
Good catch!!!
My goodness, I forgot Fitzmas as well! Oh well, I bought presents for people within the last year so I guess I was just ahead of the "present buying cycle".
Not only that, he claims three combat parachute jumps. As far as I'm aware, there was only one mass tactical combat jump in OEF-Afghanistan and none in OIF.
On top of the Ranger tab, he also claims a Special Forces tab, but he's only weapons qualified as a Marksman?
The question we need to ask is what media outlets is taking him seriously.
The trophy room is good stuff. Also sad that punks like those in the trophy room would try that crap.
If he is/was a soldier and on US soil making these claims, I do believe the DoD will discuss his actions with him.
If he was a citizen dressing up as a soldier and making these claims on US soil, I do believe the FBI will discuss his actions with him. (His claim would be "film acting" but IVAW better find him a lawyer).
I wonder of ASU prints graduation certificates in "doofus" language.
Plus, Fallujah was done by Marines, not Rangers, right?
Hello, brother.
As for the rest we can only hope, but there is one FBI agent who has made it his mission to out fakes and if our friend is shown to be a poseur I will look up that agent and send him all the evidence found online and listed here personally.
Send a heads up to:
