haven't heard of occupancy permits for pre-existing homes, but i know that many places require them for newly built homes. occupancy permit is just the inspectors way of saying, "this house is up to code, and ok for people to live in"
If you have a point to make, don't be a coward, make it.
Read between the lines.
Yep, coward.
There is a reason you don't want your point to be in black and white.
I disagree with you. Fornication is not protected by the US Constitution.
But it is being enforced [unconstitutionally] to prohibit an [unlicensed] family from living together.

Fornication is not the issue.
If these townspeople don't like unmarried couples w/children living together, it they who should move, -- into a planned community where such restrictive covenants are legal.
The federal system guarantees that there will be plenty of space available for these communitarian people, since federalism protects true diversity among Americans.
Yes, it is. Living together is a euphemism for fornication. And their offspring are the the progeny of fornication.
The local state attorney should charge this couple with fornication if the state has such a law.
Good grief george. Are you a puritan?

Anyone smart enough to read between the lines will see my point.
