You summed it up beautifully. For some reason I broke my own rule and watched some of Today this morning. Couric was downright obnoxious. I'm certainly no defender of John McCain (I detest him, in fact), but this remark was offensive to all republicans:

"Some wonder whether what you gained in appealing to religious conservatives will hurt you with more moderate members of your party if you do run for president. In retrospect, are you glad you made this appearance?"

I guess Katie doesn't realize that most people who vote Republican are believers, even moderates. For republicans who aren't, they certainly aren't going to offend people who are religious like democrats do routinely.

It's obvious to me that the media knows perfectly well how to tweek McCain, knowing very well that his volatile temper might errupt at anytime if annoyed. It's like a game with them. They will continue trying to irritate him, and for that I should be grateful. I hope that famous temper of his will flare again soon. The sooner he is eliminated as a Presidential contender, the better.

"Couric was downright obnoxious."

She's practicing to take over the Dan Rather Memorial Anchor Chair.

Let me know when the hatred of McCain from the Treasonous Leftist Liars exceeds that of the Ultra Right.
