It is not an easy task to become an Eagle Scout, it takes a lot of ambition and many other qualities.

"After all, he said, quitting is easy," Rumsfeld said. "He said, 'You can quit one thing, and then quit another. And soon you're a quitter.'

I LOVE THIS!!

Congrats to Rummy!!

I love Scouting too! It's the greatest!

It is not easy to be a mom to two in-process Eagle Scouts either!

We spend so many of our weekends working on merit badges, or my husband and sons are gone, such as next weekend at Camporee.

I can't wait to be done with Personal Fitness and Cycling...

Yay!! I would have guessed as much, however, so I am not really surprised.

Don't I know my son is an Eagle with 3 palms and a Hornaday Conservation Award holder at the Bronxe level.

Technically, this is not scouting's highest award. This is the highest award which can be given by the BSA, but there is one other which is higher given by the international scouting organization.

That said, this is very high indeed. One of my old scoutmasters got the Silver Beaver, and he was the only one that I personally knew who got anything as high.

The Hornaday is harder to earn than Eagle.
