A Death Threat From Reuters

Friday, May 26, 2006 A Death Threat from Reuters (Bumped) See below for important updates...

Early yesterday morning at about 3:00 am on the West Coast, someone in Sweden Britain connected to the Internet and browsed over to this article at the Guardian by Inayat Bunglawala, media secretary of the Muslim Council of Britain: This code could open doors.

Bunglawala’s piece (about the Da Vinci Code) is in the section of the Guardian site where readers can comment, and someone posted a link to LGF as a rebuttal to Bunglawala. Our Swedish British visitor clicked that link, leading him/her/it to this post: Swedish Muslims Demand Shari’a.

At 3:23 am, this creature used our contact form to send the following email with the obviously phony Hotmail address ‘zionistpig@hotmail.com’ and the subject line, “You bunch of wankers.”

I look forward to the day when you pigs get your throats cut....

Well, isn’t that tolerant.

But this particular death threat is a bit different from the run of the mill hate mail we get around here, because an IP lookup on the sender reveals that he/she/it was using an account at none other than Reuters News: RIPE Whois Database: 192.165.213.18. (Please note: the name and address below are those of Reuters’ technical contact, not the name of the freak responsible for our hate mail. Please do not send him email.)

Yes, our friends at LGF ( read those comments! ) have been flaying the "Bunga, Bunga, Bunga!" guy alive- they even have a link to one of his video clips.  Here's video of him on an old Channel 4 News interview.  Click (">>Watch the Report").

Reuters Death Threat Update

Last night I requested more information about the person Reuters says they “suspended” for sending me a death threat, but so far there has been no response.

Meanwhile, the Reuters IP address 192.165.213.18 (from which I received the threat) has hit LGF 9 times today, most recently at 8:48:04 Pacific. And these aren’t random page hits—they all go to the entry about the threat. For the full story: A Death Threat from Reuters (Bumped).   link: 150 comments

There are many interesting facts about Bunglawala and death threats in the links found from a simple Google search of Bunglawala death threat

Charles gets his props from Powerline...

What struck me most about this episode is how technically skilled Charles is. The poor buffoon from Reuters who sent the email never knew what hit him. Charles was able to trace his IP address around the globe, and it quickly emerged that the miscreant was Inayat Bunglawala. [The] column by Bunglawala--an extraordinarily silly column, postulating that Christians and Muslims can get along if Christians just give up on the divinity of Christ--was apparently the source of the problem.

This is a fascinating read, and I don't agree that it makes LGF look bad at all. LGF caught a lying, hate-filled Muslim who is now squealing like the pig that he really is.

Great job, LGF, and keep up the good work!

In a few years you will be facing prison for posting what you posted here. I'm not kidding.

Hitlery and the Dems are constantly looking for "hate" speech. We are going to go the way of Western Europe.

Hi, I didn't say LGF looked bad (I personally think they've handled it brilliantly)I said someone was trying to make them look bad by posting under their name.

Hey, thanks for the info, I have a lot of reading to do!

Did you see the cBS story where they wrote that William Jefferson was a Louisiana REPUBLICAN? I swear, truth is funnier than fiction. What scumbags.

"I'm surprised it didn't come from the New York Times or ABC or cBS or NBC, or even the Washington Post! Reuters sucks just like the AP, and they are one and the same when it comes to trying to harm the internet folks, or even scare them. What they havn't learned though, is we don't cut and run like they do, we discuss, we check the facts, then we decide on our own. They need us a hell of a lot more than we need them, and they are scared silly."

LOL, yeah, it looks like LGF is really skeeered./sarc

I hate evil, islam is evil, therefore I hate it.

Go sit in the corner for 30 minutes. While you're there think about all the contributions made to the world by Muslim scholars, researchers and religious leaders and think about all the conflicts in the present world where Muslims are not involved. Be prepared to list them and when you're done you'll offer an apology to all the benevolent Muslim leaders in the world who come to mind in those 30 minutes.

If you're not able to do so you'll be beheaded. Good luck...the clock starts now.

"The Council on American-Islamic Relations lists lgf as a muslim hate site."

Now, isn't that special.

Do you have a link?

There is more than one "group" that like to bandy about the terms "hate speech" and "hate site". Sometimes it seems like the communication/information afforded by the internet is threatening to some people.

Looks like CAIR is targeting Christopher Hitchens and Wachovia Bank too.

Both have just gone up a couple of notches in my view.

This CAIR website nonsense deserves its own thread, do you care to do the honors?

As I will not be here most of tomorrow (Sunday), I will leave it to you, if you don't mind. You might want to run a search to make sure it hasn't already been posted as it is "slightly" dated. I don't want to begin a new thread myself when I won't be here to monitor it.

You may be interested in the article I posted off the CAIR website a day or two ago:

The CAIR site is quite interesting. They even have voter registration online. How convenient, seems like it might be easy for them to have bogus registrations.

Also, the bills that they are supporting are quite interesting too.

Especially like this one:

"CIVIL LIBERTIES: Urge Elected Officials to Investigate Wiretapping, Appoint Special Prosecutor

Contact your elected offficials and ask them to ensure that there is an immediate and unrestricted investigation by a special prosecutor into the NSA spying program, including a probe into the massive database collecting Americans' phone calls.

Act Today!"

Thanks for the other link.

I will check to make sure the article about CAIR hasn't been posted previously, but even if it has, IMHO, the info bears repeating, again and again, lol.

"The CAIR site is quite interesting."

I'm there everyday checking to see what new affront to Muslims they have found. They are nothing more than a "formerly" affiliated with Hamas PRopaganda machine. You may not be aware of the fact that they even wrote to President Bush to ask him to make sure he "toned down" any reference to Islam prior to his State of the Union address. As you may have suspected, they have found an ally in the ACLU.

Rather cheeky of them. Apparently, they are not the shy, retiring types. I know that they had a talk show host fired from his job, named Michael Graham for "hate speech" against Islam. They rove around the country trying to bully and intimidate those who question TROP, but really, writing President Bush? Pure arrogance.

CAIR and the ACLU - the new Axis of Evil.

I wonder how much money the ACLU has managed to extract from CAIR?

Bump for evidence of Reuters secret society.

We should write a book.
