*Just a little something I would like to pass on to all of you. Something I would like you to join me in doing on May 29, 2006, Memorial Day. *
*At 3 p.m. on Memorial Day, Major League Baseball games will stop, Amtrak train whistles will blast, and thousands of Americans will pause for the Memorial Day National Moment of Remembrance. Nascar, military installations, veterans service organizations, schools, universities, hospitals, national parks, airports, bus lines, and the **International Space Station will also join in. What I am asking you is, wherever you are or whatever you are doing at 3 p.m, PLEASE join in this nationwide moment of reflection.*
*Please pass this e-mail to all the people on your mailing lists so they will know what is going on also. It's time for us to stand together and show our support for our Military now and for those who Died fighting for the freedoms we all enjoy today. It's time to be an American!*

What would be absolutely fantastic is if church bells would toll across America at the same time.

Last year I was deployed to Spain through Memorial Day and Independence Day. Both days, at 1500 local, we stopped everything we were doing, for a remembrance.

My vote? Join a patriotic service organization and take part in their memorial day ceremonies. It will require more than a few minutes of your time. Don't let our culture die.

I like it. (Is that 3pm wherever one is?)
Also, if anyone knows of any parades or anything in Austin, please let me know!

I would assume it is 3:00 your time, where ever you are...I am in the Dallas/Fort Worth area...so we would be on the same time zone.
I sure haven't heard anything about Austin, sorry.
