Let me tell y'all what a REAL senator does. Years ago my mother was dying of cancer in Spain, but I did not have enough time to renew my daughter's passport or get one for my baby son. The mother of one of my students, hearing about my problem, asked me if I had contacted sen. Thurmond's office. I told her that I hadn't because (at the time) I was not a US citizen so he did not have to do anything for me. She said that maybe I wasn't but my children were. I didn't think anymore of this conversation until a few days later when she came by my classroom. She asked me to overnight pics and copies of the children's birth certificate to sen. Thurmond's office and that by the time I could make it to JFK to get a flight to Madrid my children's passports would be waiting for us at the gate. That's what real senators do, sister Lindsey is a shame to South Carolina and to the nation.
