Some people say that Couric will flop big time in "reporting" the news.

I'm not understanding why you added Couric's comments to David Duke in this piece. Who cares if she was rude to him?

Couric to David Duke: "I'd like to repeat something you said in 1985, quote 'I think the Jewish people have been a blight and they probably deserve to go into the ash bin of history . . . that's a direct quote Mr. Duke."

Hmm, a guy named Finkelstein is now in the position of explaining why he gave an example of Katie being rude to Duke about his comments that the Jews got what they deserved. This is getting weird!

Basically, I was just reporting what Katie did. She chose to highlight tough questions she posed to Republicans and yes, at least for a while, Duke was one. There are bigots and racists across the political spectrum, but Katie chose Duke, not an anti-Semite or racist of the left, although I would agree that at a certain point on the extremes, left and right meet, as in the case of Pat Buchanan making nice with left-wing nut and anti-Semite Lenora Fulani.

Couric, seeking to put the reportedly pro-choice Laura Bush on the spot: "Do you believe women in this country should have the right to an abortion?"

I can't help but wonder if perky L'il Katie's mom felt the same way about her.
