Afghans call for trial of US troops after crash

American soldiers responsible for a fatal road accident that sparked a day of riots in Kabul, should be handed over for trial, Afghanistan's parliament voted yesterday.
The motion puts further pressure on the US forces, international troops and aid agencies working in the country.
Five people died in the accident on Monday, which prompted an outpouring of anti-foreign feelings. Another 20 people died and 160 were wounded in the riots that targeted the foreign presence, including an office of Oxfam. A European Union compound had to be evacuated by Nato's International Security Assistance Force.
The Afghan parliament appeared unlikely to get its way, however, after a US military spokesman said the driver of the 30-ton lorry, which crashed into other vehicles, had not been arrested by the US authorities. Col Tom Collins said the lorry's brakes are believed to have failed and the driver took "extraordinary measures" to avoid a crash.
An inquiry will try to establish if the US troops caught in the crash opened fire in self-defence or, as witnesses claim, over-reacted and fired into the crowd, killing at least four.
When hell freezes over you POS Islamic freaks.
Afghanis stand trial in American courts.
Why do people have a problem with this?
It doesn't take long for our enemies to figure out the best method of attacking America, hire lawyers and PR men and take it to the press.
Truck brakes fail. The truck came down a hill, driver may not have been in lower gear and lost them. It happens. These people are like Democrats, just looking for an excuse to bellyache about us being there. Probably taliwhacker suporters.
So 4 were died in the accident but 20 were killed in the
rioting.
Perhaps there is justice in the world.
We do the best we can.
We made a mistake in allowing the governments of both Afghaistan and Iraq to be other than civil secular governments with no religious allegiance. We also made a mistake in telling these people we were other than an army of liberation and occupation (like Japan and Germany) until they got their act together.
Perhaps next time we should liberate the country the way we did Japan.
I hope that truck driver is already out of the country. F*** the Afghan parliament. No American soldier will stand trial in an Islamic court.
never fails, we save a whole country and get kicked in the teeth for our efforts.....
If there is a Devil, his name is surely Allah. He has captivated more than a billion living souls.
These people are impossible. It's times to bring the troops home and leave them to their own devices. They've had their chance for self government and have blown it.
Even Karzai can't go anywhere without an Amarican security team guarding him.
The American people desperately need to realize that the Muslims hate us because we're not Muslims. There is no socially redeemable Muslim country, so let's get the Hell out of there.
To me, this is tantamount to their parliment voting for a withdrawal of our troops. Perhaps it's time.
Afganistan's parliment voted on insisting U.S. troops be turned over to them for TRIAL!
We have the wrong government there. Bomb them, Bomb them to HELL!
They shoulda bought full coverage....
Wonder how these ungrateful savages would feel if we pull a Vieques Island/Roosevelt Roads on them?
God will sort them out.
I truly believe these people cannot be left to their own devices. They are so demented that it is hard to read about them or watch them on t.v. Their culture is sooooooooo backwards that it is amazing they still exist. They really are a cancer. They are really beyond help.
Left wing moonbats have a problem with that, but then, screw' em;)
Maybe we shouldn't waste our time.
It will take a lot longer then it did with Germany and Japan to change the mindset of an Islamic country.
What is it, working on 1400 years now and still stuck in the stone age?
When hell freezes over you POS Islamic freaks.
This is the thanks we get for liberating them from the Taliban? Give me a break! We should nuke the whole place and their damn opium crop.
