Have your essential supplies ready -- like chocolate?

As a matter of fact...Publix has their own brand of mini chocolate chips. They are in the refrigerator. Not only are they an essential hurricane supply, they are yummy too.

Right now the coastal waters are around 82-84, approaching bath temperature, LOL.

My son and husband have been wearing wetsuits when they dive, of course that's a little farther offshore and the water temp is a little cooler. This past weekend they didn't need them, so I imagine the temp was in the high 70's even offshore.

The first day of Hurricane Season and Nagin is sworn in as NO mayor. Oh the irony!

Blam, how was the state of the roads? Especially I-10 in Mississippi & Alabama? I am going to have to drive that stretch the week after next and would appreciate any warnings of things to avoid/look out for/plan for.

Thanks in advance.

Incredible. This year should prove whether or not he can fool all of the people all of the time--again.

Open and clear. You'll be able to 'blow & go.' Good Luck.

Reporting for duty. I think we're due a quiet "tour" this year, don't you all?

I dunno, might want the plywood for the windows in case the birds fly at your widows while sick...
