I'd rather see Hastert call 'majority of majority' and refuse to bring the bill into the House, if it is possible.

He has stated in the past that this is his job. Is anyone familiar enough to know if it's possible?

"The job of speaker is NOT to expedite legislation that runs counter to the wishes of the majority of his majority." D. Hastert

I don't know if it's possible, but call his office anyway before the conference starts (late June). I called last week and said that I didn't want any "moderates" on the committee and that any bill that includes the words "pathway to citizenship", or any indication of amnesty will bring down the House.

I also called Sensenbrenner's office and thanked him for being an American patriot.

Thanks for the clarification. You are correct. I was running off Legend's comment as my last post before going to work this morning.

Sorry about that. My bad. /slang
